QQ Noodle House — Restaurant in Seoul

My visit to QQ Noodle was a serene experience, with its cozy ambiance and minimal crowd. The decor, adorned with Chinese art, added a touch of elegance to the modest setting. However, my anticipation for the black bean noodle was met with disappointment. The dish lacked depth and dimension, with the noodles failing to achieve the desired chewiness, and the sauce offering little in terms of flavor.

Despite this setback, the shumai dumplings offered a redeeming quality with their flavorful filling, although it fell short with the absence of meat, replaced by grain and shrimp. The sweet and sour pork, while boasting crispy texture, fell victim to oversimplicity in its sauce, comprising only vinegar and sugar.

In summary, QQ Noodle presents a mixed bag of culinary experiences. While some dishes, like the shumai dumplings, showcase promise, others like the black bean noodle and sweet and sour pork leave much to be desired. Been to this restaurant for Jajangmyeon twice in a row in two days - couldn't get enough of it. Noodle is springy, sauce is nicely seasoned and not overly salty. I added chilli powder to my noodles (optional)

I ordered Tangsuyuk during my second visit, five pieces of pork (well-seasoned) but I feel the coating is a bit too thick for my liking.

Found this thru Naver Map with few good reviews. It was empty when I reached its door step. Decided to give it a shot with no regrets. The jajangmyeon was superb that my son ate 1 entire bowl!!
