A few years ago I went to the “Time Out Market” Lisbon. Sounds like a tourist trap, looks like a tourist trap but it does an immense job of providing brilliant local food to tourists at good prices. The wine is also immaculate.
Unfortunately Mercat 1930 is not quite that despite the similar appearance. For me the food is not bad but a bit overpriced (I paid €4.50 for one raw Oyster and lemon / I think I get a better price in Claridges in London). I also had some Serrano ham which was delicious but overpriced. The bread they provided with it was not very good.
One of the most disappointing aspects for me was the wine and beer. The wine selection is reasonably priced (3-5 Euro per glass) but I was disappointed by the quality. A lot of it is stuff you can get in Tesco in the U.K. (Faustino etc). Spain and Mallorca has some exceptional wine - they could get some better wine here for sure. San Miguel is everyone’s go to holiday beer but also maybe a few more local craft beer choices would be good.

It is lovley to visit with friends and family and eat differnt kind of foods, starting from oysters to meat dishes, thai food and the typical spanish tapas. The selection of drinks is as big as the selection of food and offers wines, cocktails, longdrinks, alcohl-free drinks and of course beers. Read moreI do not recommend. after consuming a salmon tartare, I had enterocolitis, after which I needed hospitalization. I chose this place based on the reviews, but I made a mistake. Also, there is a lot of waiting in line to order and the staff is not the friendliest either. I do not recommend!
Re: I speak as a doctor. I understand that you may freeze all your products beforehand, but this is more of a sign that you are not serving fresh food. From the point of view of quality control, you should know that not only the improper conditions can lead to an infectious enterocolitis, but also the improper handling of the fish and poor hygiene during its processing.
