Albergue SP 55 by Bossh! Hotels! — Hotel in Santiago de Compostela

A thoroughly disappointing experience. The hostel is new, and the walls are plastered with witty slogans about being the BOSS and other things.

We had two beds in a four bed room. Unfortunately only one set of bed spread and mattress cover were provided. And even more unfortunately we only discovered this after 5pm, when the person manning the “24/7” desk had left for the day.

We wanted to wash our clothes, as we were led to believe was possible. Again, because the person at the front desk wanted to leave and because after giving us a bag for our clothes (no self service) decided be didn’t want to wash that day anymore, we were rudely and very loudly told that no, no way. Again, that’s after us receiving a plastic bag (a small one, not what anywhere else 8€ gets you in laundry) and having gone upstairs for five minutes to pack the clothes into it.

The hallways was filled with what I assume (and hope) was dirty linens. I just hope that’s not how they store their clean stuff.

The shoe rack is outside. So after a day walking in rain and putting the shoes in there, the best we got the next morning was them being even wetter from a nights shower.

Most of this I could somewhat deal with. But the absolutely unfriendly and borderline nasty behavior of the hosts and the fact that both a 24/7 front desk and laundry are advertised and then with abusive language declared to be „not for you“ —...

Ich war zwei mal in dem Hostel. Nach dem ersten Besuch hätte ich eig aufjedenfall vier Sterne gegeben, aber das ganze hat sich dann gewandelt. Beim ersten Mal hatte ich für zwei Tage ein Doppelzimmer für 60 Euro pro Nacht. Es war schön groß, Bett frisch bezogen, es gab Seife und die Sauberkeit war halbwegs in Ordnung. Ich hatte Wäsche zum waschen abgegeben die war nicht ganz sauber und trocken, als ich die zurück bekam. Und die "Küche", ist jetzt nicht wirklich ansprechend und nutzbar, wenn man Selbstversorger ist. Ansonsten war alles gut, sonst wäre ich nicht zurück gekommen. Ich war ca eine Woche später wieder in Santiago, kam morgens um 10 an und hatte ausreichend Zeit ein Zimmer zu finden. Da ich es wie gesagt dort in Ordnung fand, bin ich dort als erstes hin. Der Mann an der Rezeption hatte nur noch ein Einzelzimmer für 30 € (ich wollte eig lieber in den Schlafsaal, da ich schon viel Geld ausgegeben hatte). Nahm es dann aber trotzdem. Der Herr bot sogar an mir das Zimmer vorher zu zeigen. Ich habe aber LEIDER! abgelehnt und meinte es sei in Ordnung, ich war ja schonmal hier. Ich bezahlte und konnte ab 15 Uhr wieder kommen, da jetzt geputzt wird. Ich war um ca 15.30h zurück. Der gleiche Herr an der Rezeption ist dann mit mir ganz nach oben unters Dach und hat mir ein "Zimmer" zugeteilt. Ich war im ersten Moment sehr verwirrt, weil es wirklich klein war. Der Herr ist dann direkt wieder nach unten gegangen. Als ich mich dann in Ruhe umschaute ist mir das Ausmaß erst klar geworden. Ich beschreibe das Zimmer kurz in Stichpunkten: das Zimmer war so klein, dass ich nicht drin stehen konnte (bin 1.7m). Es gab nur ein Bett und den Nachttisch, die Schräge vom Dach ging direkt über dem Bett entlang, das Dachfenster war direkt über dem Kopf, kein Rolladen, Bett nicht bezogen, keine Handtücher, kein Mülleimer, Bad war über den Gang, man konnte auch nicht drin stehen, kein Licht, nicht geputzt, Boden war voller Flecken, Haare in der Dusche, Miniwaschbecken, Regal über dem Waschbecken, man konnte nicht mal Zähne putzen ohne alles nass zu machen. Da es mittlerweile fast vier Uhr war und ich noch mit Freunden verabredet war und sowieso am nächsten Morgen zum Flughafen musste, hatte ich mich dazu entschieden im Zimmer zu bleiben, hätte ich das vorher gewusst hätte ich es natürlich nicht genommen. Ich hatte den ganzen Tag Zeit, um etwas zu suchen. An den Türen stand übrigens auch privat. Ich gehe von aus, dass das gar nicht zum vermieten gedacht war. Sowas kann man wirklich auch niemandem zumuten. Ich finde es wirklich frech, dass man vorher nicht drauf hingewiesen wurde, um was es sich für ein Zimmer handelt. Had a terrible experience, still on going. They owe my €93. I booked 2 beds then cancelled so I could rebook a 3 bed dorm so we could have a room to ourselves. They have taken the money out of my account even though I cancelled the room in plenty of time and was told I wouldn’t be charged. The night we stayed 15th April, we came back to our three bed dorm at 11pm to find a random person was in our room, we were confused and felt unsafe as we had booked the 3 bed room. No one told us that anyone else would be in the room, the random person said they were a staff member. I tried to complain in the morning but the receptionist was rude and didn’t seem to care. So have tried numerous times to send emails and WhatsApp’s to get a refund and an apology. Still to get both.
