I hate to write a bad review but im not going to write nice things if an owner is very nice but the food isn't. I was eager to try Camino Curry. I live in Santiago, walk caminos and love Indian food which is lacking in Santiago. There is another Indian restaurant which I also found disappointing but it was actually better than Camino Curry. I found the food at Camino Curry very blah, not much taste, small portions. The lentils were very small and the rice was sticky without taste. We ordered Vegetarian Thali and my partner who is a Veggie fanatic was also very disappointed. All in all for 20 euros it was a big disappointment. The service was good, friendly. The atmosphere was lacking too, the music a bit loud. Usually I would say something to the server if I was unhappy but I did not, my wife is Spanish and she begged me not to say anything negative, so I didn't. It doesn't really matter though because to us the food you served was bland, we didn't want a discount, more food or to try something else. In short, if I had been walking a camino 30 days, eating mostly Spanish food and came to your restaurant maybe I'd think it was great, something different but that was not the case. Please try your food, maybe the cook had a bad day. Make believe your hungry and desperate for a delicious...

Honestly one of the worst meals I had the whole trip. Food was bland, lackluster and waaaay to expensive for what it is.

Their daily menu is chicken + rice + drink for 15€. Honesty it should be at most half the price since it just isn't very good. Also, after we ordered that menu we took ice tea as our beverage thinking it is included in the menu since it just said "beverage" and they didn't say anything until after the meal. They said only water or beer are included and so we checked and there is a small asterisk saying "brewdog/water". So basically the "menu" is a bit of chicken, some rice and water ahahah.

We ordered 2 dishes and the second was a vegetable platter which was small for the price (20€) and also disappointing.

I've eaten indian food all over the world and would say that this one was the worst taste to price wise by far.

The only positive thing was that they were polite but even that seemed fake knowing that they didn't warn us that ice tea is a drink not in the menu. Well that is one us since we were stupid enough to come here.

Would definitely not recommend...

This was a lovely change of menu after 30 days on Camino.

The restaurant is run by a lovely father and son who will happily chat with you about their journey to this place in their lives.

Food is limited - at the moment we were told - to one dish in various forms for dietary preferences. It’s essentially a Thali dish and has a nice selection of curries, rice and roti - costing £20. The flavours are delicious and everything is cooked well.

The only downside is that the cost is on the high side and portion size slightly on the smaller side of things.

This is a great place to eat, staff are lovely, food is beautiful and there’s such a lovely atmosphere to the place. I enjoyed the meal a lot and was hungry for more - but there in lies the issue, luckily we found a KFC 30min later (sorry but yes, we needed more...

Camino Curry is exactly what my tired pilgrim soul needed. From the moment I walked in, I was met with smiles and genuine kindness — the kind that makes you feel seen after a long journey. The food is cooked fresh to order and absolutely packed with flavor. You can taste the love in every bite. After walking all day, sitting down here felt like a warm hug. The portions are generous, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the people running this place are the real deal — friendly, generous, and clearly proud of what they serve. If you’re finishing up your Camino, this is the perfect place to celebrate the end of your walk. And if you’re local, lucky you — you can make this a regular stop. I’d come back in a heartbeat.

When in Rome
.
find the 2 guys from Birmingham who’ve set up an Indian restuarant.
and then enjoy by far nicest food I’ve had on the Camino. It’s actually nutritious and flavoursome, in what is otherwise a ‘desert of pork and fried potatoes’ as someone else amusingly described it. It won’t be the cheapest Thali you’ve had, but then they are having to pull some strings to get some hard to get ingredients in Spain. I’ve loved the Camino walk but have not enjoyed the food, despite searching. So this was a really pleasant surprise at the end of the trail. Highly recommended and they are really friendly and interesting too. Ps ask for normal spice levels otherwise they reduce it for local tastes.

Aa I have visited Santiago and luckily got the address of Camino Curry is more than “just” a restaurant—it’s a celebration of the Camino journey through food, warmth, and human connection. Whether you’re ending your pilgrimage or simply want something nourishing and different, this place is a rare gem in the heart of Santiago. I believe am the First Indian who visited this Resturant not being the pilgrimage but to experience the food in Indian style I met with owner of Resturant Mr.Kamal and his Son and his staff Swapnil.Kamal is real gem and very grounded person. If you are in Santiago then it should be in your bucket list for must visit place. lots of love to Camino Curry Regards Nitin
