Barraca Suites — Hotel in Valencia

We booked this room almost 2 months in advance and when we arrived we found out they placed us in this glorified storage room on the first floor. Our window view was literally on sewage pipes, you can imagine the smell. The bathroom didn't even have enough space to get undressed and, on the third night, we found 2 cockroaches walking around. Now, since the receptionist leaves around 21 and this incident happened around 12AM, we were completely on our own to resolve the issue. We called Booking Support but they were, of course, unable to do anything as it was an issue of the facility, and not of the reservation. The morning after, the receptionist offered us a 72 euro refund on the total of 507 euros that we paid (not enough in my opinion) and told us they were unable to move us to a better room until the day after, which means we slept with cockroaches for 2 nights straight. My 64 year old mother was barely able to sleep because she was scared that the cockroaches would climb on us while asleep. After 2 days they moved us to a room on the third floor that smelled like mold, but at least it had no cockroaches in sight, although we still had sewage pipes outside the window. That said, I will be reporting this facility to the competent entities for health hazards. Please do not come here unless you absolutely need to. The only good thing about this place is the fact that is 50 meters...

Estuvimos 4 días el año pasado y no nos gustó nada. Para empezar cuando llegamos estaba todo en obras, lleno de polvo de la misma y empezaban desde muy temprano, cosa que no se nos dijo. Las habitaciones muy antiguas y las paredes eran papel de fumar, se escuchaba todo lo de las demás habitaciones y la gente por los pasillos. Sitio muy pequeño, solo había una ventana enana que daba a dos tubos. Para rematar no había agua caliente en pleno marzo en valencia y sin parar de llover, salía caliente 10 minutos o menos y se acababa, la chica de recepción intentó arreglar el termo pero nos dijo que era un termo muy antiguo y era para lo que daba. Sí que está en muy buena ubicación, cerca de todo, al lado de la playa y con bastante aparcamiento, pero quedarse aquí es para estar todo...
