We had a great stay here! The location was very convenient for us because it was so close to Maradana train station. It is also pretty central, and sightseeing in Colombo we could do everything by foot. The host was really friendly. We could leave our luggage at the hotel after our check-out, while we headed out to explore the city, and he even let us use a room after our check-out so that we could use the bathroom to freshen up before our flight. The host of this hotel was like a father to me. He cared about me since the first day, extremely attentive and friendly. My flight was delayed 9 hours, so I couldn’t make it to the first night (I arrived at 6am the next morning), so he managed to not charge me that night and he let me use the room as soon as I arrived. When I asked for the nearest ATM, the boss himself took me there by car, waited for me and dropped me off at the place I wanted to go. He was extremely caring and pleasant.

My stay here was alright. There wasn't a doorbell, so I had to bang on the window and wait a few minutes, hoping that someone was there. I think they need a better system for getting into the building, because the neighborhood location felt unsafe at night. The bed didn't have a blanket, which felt uncomfortable, and I ended up using a towel to sleep. The sheets had stains and looked a little dirty. The drains in the bathroom didn't work that well.
