Darley Road Pub & Restaurant — Restaurant in Colombo

Went on a Friday night and the place was full. Great atmosphere and ambiance inside the restaurant.

Ordered drinks and food. Food cannot be recommended. Ordered 6 mains. Carbonara was supposed to have bacon but it didn’t have any. It was just spaghetti soaked in milk and few mushrooms and it was disgusting. Also you need a microscope to find meat/sea food and in their chicken and sea food fried rice 😅 other dishes were fine.

Also service is poor. Very less number of staff to service specially on a busy Friday night. Nobody came to take our order so we had to go and give it. We asked for few seats several times but they don’t really care probably so we sorted it out ourselves.

Need to mention about the young employee Chamath. We finally went and gave the order to him because our allocated waiter never came to take the order. Chamath was very quick, friendly and efficient. He gave us a superb service and we were convinced of not leaving the restaurant because of him only. Otherwise we would have just gone out without ordering. Chamath’s service is superb when compared with other senior sales representatives in the restaurant. Thank you Chamatha! Keep up...

The service is horrible!!!

We went on a Friday night around 9.30pm to this place and when we wanted to order food the waiter said "the kitchen is too busy, so they are not taking any more orders"(like rice, noodle's etc). Since we didn't have time to look for another place we had to order what THEY wanted us to have. Which was french fries and potato wedges!!! At one point the waiter brought us a plate of fried onions and asked if we like we can have this coz one of the customers whom had ordered it has refused to have it. Since we were so desperate we asked him to put it our bill. Also need to mention one of my friends was so thirsty that he ordered a bottle of water and what they brought to us was the brand "Olu" water which the price tag was Rs.350/- something and these people charge us nearly double the price. The best part is they only serve that brand. So either you have it or look for some other place.

We came here thinking that it was THE Keg, which used to be a good place with good service.
