I stayed at this hotel with my friend from 7-9th February having little expectation given the reviews. The hotel is located a couple of hundred metres from the train station. (Top tip get the train from the airport it’s one stop and taxi fares will cost you 40chf as opposed to 4/5chf on the train). The hotel reception staff were wonderful and showed us to our ground floor room. Again little expectation and I wasn’t looking forward to the noise as per the reviews I’ve seen and morning breakfast rush. No, nothing, no noise and no fuss. I was absolutely pleasantly surprised how calm and relaxing this hotel was. Our room 75 was lovely, clean, well presented and modern, it had a safety deposit box you didn’t need to pay for and a large smart TV where I was able to log into my Netflix account. ||The staff were wonderful and attentive. We were provided with travel passes which meant we didn’t have to pay for it when entering a station. ||I’d recommend this hotel if you want to stay local in the centre with the ability to walk to shops, cafe’s, restaurant and bars as well going for a short walk or boat ride to the old town. Read moreI went a day earlier to confirm my stay with the hotel. They couldn't find my booking. I showed them my confirmation on my phone. I was told that they can see my confirmation number but no payment was made by trip.com. They assured me that such has happened before and told me to be on the safe guard book another room as a standby. They assured me that they will not swipe my card until matter is resolved. That assurance made me check in. I kept coming to the front office every now and then and I was told it was resolved. Only on the last night I was told that by Trip.com of the error in the address. In the meantime the hotel had swiped my card. Surprisingly they did not honour the feedbacks I gave to Hotel Montana Geneve and Hotel Montana Zurich. There was no email to apologise for the oversight and delay in handling. Read moreA superior twin room booked, what we got was a overheated, airless, dark and depressing cell. The room was at the rear of the hotel backing a municipal car park. The window to the car park has a metal shutter, this is to block the light from car park security lights. The shutter opens to 20cm, The room has a aircon cabinet fitted but will not be connected until October 24. Complained regarding this situation and a request for a change was met with a negative stare and a stand alone air con machine was fitted with the ducting out of the window, lots of car park noise possible but no match for the noise of the air con machine. |There being no option save to sleep in the street we had to stay. Worst hotel I have ever stayed in.
