Fortune Hotel — Hotel in Taipei

I wanted to leave a good review but it would not be truthful. I have to admit the hotel is a rare accommodation in term of budget, it is walkable to Mtr line and night market with numerous convenient stores. But you’d have to sacrifice everything else. Coming to the hotel knowing there would not be a tv, wifi, or a fridge, and expecting some less than preferred conditions, but its actually worse, the property is so old with little maintenance work done, it is very spooky and would give you chills. The carpet is so old and dampened. My wife and i stayed for 2 nights and we both got bitten by bed bugs and have marks all over our arms and legs. It really looks like a haunted house! Room: no Power, no TV, old and unclean. Price: Even if this cost is lower than 1000NT, I would not dare to stay here again. Service: Very poor, very unfriendly. Don’t get the bad reputation. Although the hotel looks old and the hallway doesn’t smell amazing, the staff was friendly to us and the hotel bed was one of the most comfortable in our trip so far.
