Chiang Mai Gate House — Hotel in Chiang Mai Province

We stayed at the 'Chiang Mai Gate House' for 3 nights. It is situated within the old city of Chiang Mai, with easy access to popular temples and other tourist attractions. It is also situated about a 15-minute ride away from the Chiang Mai International Airport.

We reached the hotel around 9.45 PM after our late-night flight. The receptionist was welcoming, explained the house rules & briefed us about the property. There are 2 access doors, which are closed by 10 PM, but you can access the property through one of them using the key card late at night. The check-in process was smooth & we got a room on the ground floor.

The room was clean and had sufficient space. It was equipped with a table, bedside table, chair, television, mini-refrigerator, electric kettle, cloth hangers, A/C, and comfortable seating space close to the bathroom. The bathroom was sufficiently spacious, clean, and the hot water worked without an issue. Towels, soap, and amenities were available. Room service was available throughout the stay.

Stayed here for 5 nights initially and rebooked after a short trip to another town for the following week because it was so good. Torn is friendly and the rooms are secure, clean and well located. They offer tours of all kinds and can provide any info on the city you need. Rooms have fridges, bathrooms, hangers, WiFi, a desk, several power points and toothbrush kits. I thinks it's my new favourite hotel in Chiang Mai because it's near the south gate and there's lots to explore nearby like bars, Thai kitchens and the local markets only a walk away.
