Hi! We are visiting from Canada and this was our only hotel stay in Chiang Mai, so we don’t have much to compare it to. The place is easy to find using taxi/grab app. It’s a small alleyway and there are restaurants right next to it so you can easily grab something to eat. The staff don’t really speak english but using a translator or translating app helps! The place has a truly homey feel, and they have insect repellent, games, tea and coffee, umbrellas to borrow etc There are no elevators, only stairs so beware if you have many/heavy luggage! There is AC! They provide water bottles and toilet paper regularly. At some point, we lost electricity and could not get ahold of anyone so we left a note at the front and by the time we returned after our day adventures, it was fixed. There are bugs and mosquitoes so please beware. Beds are very big and spacious, they provided bowls and microwave, kettle, utensils.

My entire expectation was surpassed by Little Bear Homes! Everything about the accommodations, from the lovely and comfortable rooms to their outstanding customer service, was flawless. The amenities were good and exactly what we needed for the room, and the location was handy. Overall, it was a delightful experience. I heartily suggest Little Bear Homes to anyone in search of a comfortable place to stay. They provided us with free bottle of water everyday, after cleaning the room. the reception helped us get a bike rental, delivered it to the hotel to us, and everything went smooth.. we really enjoyed our time. Just some quick Notes: - No Elevator - The Air-Condition in our Room was leaking, but it was working perfectly, and cooling.

Excellent 2 week stay at this modest hotel. The family run team at the hotel can't do enough for you and can help with booking tours and experiences (I recommend the Thai cookery school which was great fun). The hotel is on a quiet side street right in the center of the old town so a great location as you can walk everywhere. My room was large, had a kettle, fridge and microwave so you could store and reheat food, and basic crockery and cutlery provided. Water is provided daily. The bed was very comfortable. Can't recommend this venue enough.

Worst experience at a hotel I've ever had. There's an abundance of nice places to stay in Chiang Mai, don't settle for somewhere like here. First the air conditioning wouldn't work and it took myself going down and up the stairs four times for the front desk to finally accept our sauna of a room wasn't suitable for us to sleep in after being exhausted from our travels. Second, we were told we could stay in certain rooms, but then were moved to other ones on two separate nights. Third, during the time that our stuff was supposed to be "safely moved" for us, my expensive beauty products and my father's shorts disappeared. Fourth, the front desk staff (that works in the most touristic part of the city) was useless for any sort of help. I once asked where I could get a massage and the male working the front desk told me he didn't know. After walking out of the hotel I found over 8 within five minutes of walking. I also asked a female working the front desk if she knew of a restaurant with air conditioning and she didn't, but we walked across from the hotel and there one was. Fifth, the rooms didn't have basic supplies like towels. Sixth, the bathroom wasn't cleaned. Seventh, not a welcoming environment. I work in hospitality and would never allow for one of my guests to have an experience resembling mine at "Little bear's home". Very disappointing to see the lack of pride one would take in...
