Smile Lanna Hotel — Hotel in Chiang Mai Province

This small boutique hotel was lovely. Just outside of Chiang Mai city walls and not far from the airport so easy to get to places and doens't take too long. The hotel provided airport transfers which was super easy and helpful.

The staff were really friendly - special shout out to Beam and the manager Aoi, who dealt with any problems we had quickly/made up for the small issues that arised during our stay. Despite a few mishaps, these were dealt with promptly, and in a friendly manner. If you have any problems, speak to the staff and they will do their best to rectify the issue.

The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful - from cleaning, security, drivers to reception etc. They were proactive and when one of the guests had to go to hospital they didn't hesitate to get the shuttle van ready and drop us, demonstrating their hospitality and compassion.

The chefs made an effort to accommodate for our dietary requirements and this was appreciated.

The hotel is fairly small and the main facility is the pool, which was nice. The complimentary fruit/tea/biscuits in the afternoon was a lovely touch.

The rooms were clean and of good size, with all the usual modern amenities you would expect.

All in all, a lovely experience, I would recommend staying here and would come back here if visiting Chiang Mai again.

There were a few issues that we faced but these were fixed quickly during our stay so this should be taken into consideration: wifi dropped out at one point, one of the bathroom lights needed fixing, noisy guests (who went into the pool out of hours etc). These were all dealt with so I would not say anything that we did not like, and these were non-issues...

It was perfect The staff is super nice and they see everything, when you are at breakfast and you seem a little lost they are right there to ask you if you are looking for specific things, I like it when staff is attentive. The ropm: a dream, super clean - in this room I had the cleanest windows I have seen in Thailand, top. Bedding = perfection In white, such a comfortable bed Bathroom immaculate and super clean and steril. You just walk into this room and feel comfortable. The pool is great, perfect temperature not too cold Breakfast is delicious, maybe a little bit too much for Asian less for European guests but still good, I just can't eat rice for breakfast Jam is awesome - self-made Best coffee I had so far in thailand and it gets served with a heart on top each morning. Each morning the owner of the hotel is at breakfast, greeting everyone, welcoming new guests and chatting around with people, super friendly guy.

They have a little coffee shop on the premises where you get lunch if you want to as the hotel directly doesn't do lunch. The pricing is amazing and it is delicious and a good selection. We paid 260 baht for 3 meals and 2 drinks so really good deal. They don't have any alcohol in the hotel,might be the only minus.

I also have never seen such giggly and happy staff. They all seemed really happy and content working there.

The hotel is located just outside the old city at the southwest corner among charming neighbourhood, very convenient to go anywhere by taxi. The hotel has complimentary service for airport and major night markets, which is really handy. The room is spacious, the bed is extremely comfortable, as it’s firm but not soft, this is so beneficial for people who have back problems and can’t handle the soft beds in hotels. The shower is very powerful, nice to use. The swimming pool has warm water, with a seating section in the water for people who don’t want to swim but fancy a closer touch to the pool. The hotel’s landscape is super dreamy, heavenly beautiful and instagramable. There are a lot of activities the hotel holds that you can attend to as well. There are so many more things we like about this hotel which we can’t all write down here, most important thing is the staffs there, they are exactly like the hotel name, they have the most genuine, sweet and heartwarming smile you can ever see. There is no words to describe how kind and helpful they have been when we were there. And we felt like we have been loved and taken care of by a whole village instead of just some hotel staffs that happen to have good manner.
