We just had a very bad experienced on this accommodation.. My husband booked it because he was fascinated with good comments. We may say people have different standards especially when we wanted to save money for a long vacation.|1. Upon our arrival, the receptionist told us they did not get our reservation. I showed our approved booking but still it did not help. They posted this place in airbnb and we booked it there. The only one how can approved the booking is the host. He called the host but told she don't get our reservation. Plus she never responded our emails and SMS. |2. The Receptionist offer us to stay in other hotel free of charge for the fist night. 3. We received a message from the host if we can cancel our remaining days of booking. I asked her if we received the entire full refund again she did not response. |4. I asked the reception about the cancellation request, he don't have any idea. |5. On our 4th day, I asked the lady if they can clean and change our bed sheets because since we arrived it never get clean or change.. She said okay but they never did.||If you will read the comments from other guest, you will be fascinated and thats how we also decided to book it for 6 days. Room is okay although it was small. Our bed is not comfy, you feel the spring on your back. My husband folded the blanket to cover the part of the spring. Early morning the staffs are talking and laughing so loud, you always get awaken. Even our room is facing at the back on second floor, we still hear the noise of the motorbikes. The shower don't have curtains so the water are splashing everywhere.||When you take time to search for a nice relaxing accommodation, there are lots on the area. Cheaper and more clean.||For us, we will not recommend this one. But that is only base on our...

I recently had an incredibly frustrating experience with this hotel that I feel compelled to share. I mistakenly booked the wrong hotel location, and as soon as I realised the error, I tried to reach out to their customer service for help. Unfortunately, that’s where the real problems began.

First, I attempted to contact the hotel management multiple times. Not only did I not receive a single response, but it felt as though my inquiries were simply being ignored. I would expect at least a basic level of communication from any reputable establishment, but there was absolutely no follow-up or attempt to assist me, the hotel showed zero flexibility in accommodating a date change or offering a partial refund. I understand policies are in place for a reason, but given the circumstances, I would have appreciated a bit of understanding or even a compromise. Instead, they took an all-or-nothing stance, leaving me no options but to forfeit the entire amount. It honestly felt like they saw an opportunity to take advantage of the situation and refused to provide any service or value for the money paid.

The lack of communication and rigid approach shows a complete disregard for their customers. I would strongly advise anyone considering this hotel to think twice. Mistakes happen, and the fact that this hotel management was unwilling to work with me or even respond in a timely manner speaks volumes about their approach to customer service. I feel like I paid for a service that was...

This place was a cute little bed and breakfast right in front of the bridge into the old city, so it was easily accessible to many of the cafes and famous sites in the old city. The room was well sized for a solo traveler, had lots of sunlight, and had a great view of the temple next door. It was definitely slightly older, but not in a bad or dingy way, just in the fact that the floors creaked a bit. One bad thing though was that the bed was sunken into the ground, and I noticed a few ants walking around in the room near the window and bathroom. The place definitely wasn't infested or anything bad, but I did check my bed every time I got into it and noticed an ant most of the time. ||The bathroom was well sized, but the shower head was way too high on the wall so I had to hold it while I showered to avoid being shot in the face with water for the entire time. (I'm 6 feet tall (1.83m) for reference).||Otherwise this was a cute stay for 2 days and I would consider staying again if I was in a pinch like I was when I originally booked. They also let me check in at 9am instead of 2pm, which was very nice, but then I was forced to pay in cash, which was surprising considering the booking sites, and the check in forms at the guesthouse, state that credit card and PayPal were acceptable payment methods, which was strange and slightly annoying because I didn't have cash on hand at check in. Lol I think that experience is indicative of my experience...

More often than not, you notice how people's negative reviews are a reflection of themselves more than the hotel itself. Overall, Sri Chiang Yeun House is an ADORABLE place to stay. It's run by a lovely, hospitable family. I stayed here initially for 5 days and decided to extend my stay for another full week, I felt truly at home. Their communal area downstairs is an amazing place to work from - fast wifi, tons of natural sunlight, right next to the canal. Attached to the hotel is a popular local dessert shop that they also own, which adds to the coziness and home-y neighborhood atmosphere. About the rooms themselves - granted, the walls are thin. But the only problems I had were because of the guests (e.g. loud neighbors walking around in their room at 2am, or just generally loud guests oblivious to others around them), not the room itself. The rooms are quite basic and that's what makes them charming. The owners are also VERY appreciative of feedback. Be kind to people, and you'll be happily met with reciprocal kindness. I'll happily stay here again on my next trip(s) to Chiang Mai ♥️

I was in a deluxe double room in the 3rd floor with Buddha view and to the oldtown. I could see the sunrise on one side and sunset on the other. The room itself is sooo bright and beautiful with all the wood! The shower was good and the bed was so comfortable. It was clean and every day the trash bin was emptied and I got new towels and water. Breakfast was good. And Nescafé for free. The family who is running the hotel is so lovely and their employees were so so sweet :) I felt safe all the time especially as a woman traveling alone ;) The ONLY thing that was not so clear to me before: It’s noisy. The room is directed to a huge road. Normally I’m really sensitive about that but somehow. The other things were just so wonderful that I forgot the noise and slept really good :) Ah and it’s located really central so you can walk to many markets in 10-15 minutes :)

Beautiful Style, But Needs Better Maintenance At first sight, the hotel looks clean and beautifully designed—especially appealing if you appreciate traditional Japanese aesthetics like I do. I was drawn in by its charm and had high hopes. While the staff was friendly and the view was truly lovely, the overall quality of the facilities didn’t meet expectations for the price. The shower, air conditioner, refrigerator, and power plugs were not functioning well. The pillow was uncomfortable, the TV underwhelming, and the hair dryer didn’t work properly either. This place has great potential with its serene atmosphere and warm service. I truly hope the management improves the maintenance and upgrades the amenities—it could become a wonderful stay with just a bit more care.
