Came here twice. Nice environment but for the price range, they need some improvements. Both times felt like a slight rip-off. More staff or service. Both times I had no one welcoming me when I came in. Also waited a long time pay cause there was no server around. Therefore there wasn’t a welcoming vibe at all. Larger amount of food. (Also was charged the same price when ordering vegetarian version, which doesn’t usually happen in Thailand or anywhere else). Water was 25 which would be normally 10. I was later told it was because it’s a restaurant/bar thus bar price for water, but then also that if I got the plastic bottled water it would have been cheaper. A decent server would inform me of these options in the first place instead of assuming the more expensive one! Not that big of a difference in terms of actual money but still not a pleasant experience. The dishes themselves were really average. Tbh I’ve had way tastier foods nearby for...
Read moreThe vibe at the restaurant was nice, creating a pleasant atmosphere for dining. The staff was friendly and attentive, which made our experience more enjoyable. However, I was very disappointed with one of the dishes. The spicy grilled beef was extremely tough, making it nearly impossible to chew. Additionally, it was served cold, which was unexpected for a grilled dish. I'm not sure if it was intended to be cold, but it significantly affected the overall taste and enjoyment of the meal.
Moreover, the meat was supposed to be half fatty and half lean, but it wasn't mixed together properly. As shown in the photo, half of the pieces were entirely fatty, while the other half were completely lean. This lack of balance in the meat composition further detracted from the dish. I hope the restaurant can address these issues to improve their otherwise...
Read moreVery classy place just around the corner from a world class jazz joint. Creative cocktails using Thai rum and fresh basil and other fresh herbs and citrus. The mojito was ok, but try the local rum for better experience. The “Angus Nam Dok”, or Spicy Grill Beef Salad was outstanding—tender beef, not overcooked, with a spicy homemade dipping sauce that was just the right heat. At just 189 baht it’s a great deal. Thai fusion Laab Salmon was also very good (even with all the onion slices which are put aside easily enough). Service was very friendly...
