Beautiful luxury hotel - some of the nicest hotel rooms I've ever stayed in! Comfortable bed and pillows. Loved that there was in-unit washer/dryer and staff will deliver detergent to your room upon request. Luxurious bathroom with one of those electric toilets and a beautiful massive rain shower and tub. Loved that dark woods accents throughout the unit as well as the artwork. Check-in was seamless with the front desk ladies -- I forget their names but we deal with two different ladies and they were both awesome. The pool area is great - love that part of the pool is outdoors in the sun and part of it is shaded. Also great that they had lots of fun games people could play in the pool deck area.
Also I have to shout out the Weaver restaurant -- we went here on our last night before heading to the airport and I sort of assumed it would be a typical hotel restaurant with food that wasn't special. Wow, was I wrong. This was one of the best meals of our trip. 5 star luxury customer service by Beer (I think she was the manager or Maitre D) and her serving staff. They treated us like royalty, made fabulous menu recommendations, and were so friendly and pleasant to make conversation with. If that isn't enough, the food was incredible. We ordered Thai teas, samosas, butternut squash soup, and spicy Pad Krapow. The Thai teas were the best we've had in Thailand - they even came with whipped foam on top. We are big Indian food fans and these samosas were some of the best samosas we've ever had - and the mint chutney and tamarind sauces were extremely tasty and done well. The Pad Krapow was the best Pad Krapow my fiance has had in the entire 3 week trip to Thailand. AND Beer made sure it was very spicy, upon his request. I wish we had more opportunities to dine at this restaurant because there are so many other items we would have loved to try.
Honestly everything felt 5 stars to us. Would absolutely stay here again and highly...
Read moremy experience has been horrible. The main cause of the unpleasant experience is due to the check in staff, I am not clear what her name is, but I think I see an initial ‘B’ on her name tag. First off, when me and my wife first checked in, the staff that handled our check in gave a very uninterested and sullen face, no smiles, no pleasantries, and because I made two bookings I asked her if it is possible to make it one continuous booking since it is for the same room type, she brushed it off told me she will let me know later without elaborating further or actually checking the system. When I checked in to the room, the room was still being cleaned, the cleaner quickly made her exit and when we went in, the floor was wet and slippery, already unpleased with the experience, we explored the room, and suddenly someone opened our room door unannounced, me and my wife were horrified, as we were not expecting anyone and thought it was a break in. I then went down to the lobby to complain to the same rude staff, she was unapologetic and arrogant and when I returned the key card, she demanded the paper holder that came with the key card, is the paper holder so important that she can ignore the mishap altogether? The duty manager stepped in, changed our room, however we waited for our luggage which was still left at the previous room for more than 15 minutes. I would think that things would be done in a more urgent manner after all the mishap, but the staff does not seem to care. I am extremely disappointed in the service of the team especially the rude staff, it is extremely unprofessional and unacceptable. I want to reiterate that the check in staff was extremely rude and unwelcoming, in my opinion she is not qualified for...
Read moreBefore booking SilQ, I visited the hotel to check out a couple of rooms I was interested in. I ended up choosing the Premier Studio because I really liked the layout. After staying at the neighboring Staybridge Suites for over a month, we had a ton of luggage to move, and I’m super grateful to the SilQ staff for helping us with the move, even though it was a really busy time for them.
The check-in process was a bit slow, and the elevators could get crowded and take a while during peak hours. There were also a few minor issues with the elevators here and there, but the staff was always quick to resolve them. During my stay, I really felt the warmth and friendliness of the team—whether it was the front desk, housekeeping, or the concierge. They genuinely cared about guest feedback, which I truly appreciated.
The hotel’s ionic onsen is amazing, though you need to book it in advance. The rooms are super comfortable, with strong water pressure in the shower and a bathroom design that separates wet and dry areas—both of which I loved. Most of the guests here are tourists, whereas the Staybridge Suites and Marriott Apartments next door seem to have more expats working in Bangkok. The hotel also has a tuk-tuk shuttle that runs every hour. While it’s not super frequent, it’s almost never full, and the staff operating it are incredibly kind.
After trying out and comparing a few options, I’ve decided to stay at SilQ again. A big thank-you to the team for the thoughtful birthday cake and the welcome fruits when I arrived—it was such a nice touch. I really appreciate the care and attention to detail from the staff at SilQ. Special thanks to Fah and Beer for taking care of my luggage storage. Looking forward to my...
