H O R R I B L E experience!
First of all we were part of a New Years party that we were never informed about upon booking and only found out when we arrived - and of course that costed a lot of money!
On top of that, during the party when were entitled to one free drink each (even though I paid roughly around 6 dinners anywhere else in Thailand for the party the drinks were not free!) we order to the waiter and he confirmed we could use the cupom. When the drinks arrived of course the bill also came because the place of the free drinks was at a different place!
But nevermind the party, worse than was that during check out we were accused of losing a key from the bedroom. When I argued back that we didn’t lost anything as we only used one key the whole time (I was with my husband the whole time so no need to use two keys) Amrat the reception lady (I think that was her name) said IN MY FACE THAT I WAS A LIAR! She knew I was lying because she had the second key and she was making this scene just to see if we were liars!!!
Dear Amrat/Airin or whatever name it was, you cannot call people liars! Specially not your customers! You don’t know if I lost a key or not! It could have been stolen of my pursue, it could have been a cleaning lady who took it out of the bedroom by mistake, or it could indeed have been a mistake of me or my husband who lost it and didn’t realize until then but that doesn’t mean we are lying to you!!! You can’t know that for a fact and you certainly cannot acuse your customer of that! This is very RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL!!! (Specially at the first day of the year when everybody wants to start with the right foot!)
I would like to make it very clear that I don’t recomend anyone to be in this hotel! In any moment I felt as a welcomed guest in here!
I didn’t felt like a welcome guest when they made the party booking mistake, the drinks mistake, the key mistake and series of other mistakes... And I won’t even mentioned that I paid 5 star price for something that wasn’t worth more than 3.
Thailand is a country of sweet people! This was the first and only place in the whole country where I was very...
Read moreThis resort is nestled in a large area with good landscaping facing the Andaman Sea. The resort is actually located at the end of the Pattaya Beach. The open lobby is well designed and stylish. The villa is big and spacious equipped with a satellite TV, minibar, hair dryer, kettle and safe-box. There is a big bath tub room with rain shower and a smaller shower room. The room is well decorated. There is a swimming pool and a gymnasium just outside the villa. However internet speed is really slow with a speed of 0.4 Mbps. It is as good as none!||It is a walking distance to the Lipe Walking Street which is full of restaurants, massage parlors, diving centers and convenient stores. It is also close to the immigration office. It is less than 1 km to the Sunrise Beach. Staffs are friendly and helpful. ||Breakfast is good with wide selection of western and local Thai cuisine. The setting of the cafeteria is special. Even without air conditioner, you don’t feel hot at all. They serve nice Thai tea. ||You can catch the sunset in the evening at the beach front. However, the beach is not swimmable as it is full of rocks. You need to walk a short distance to reach to the sandy beach. ||For your information, the price of this resort varies very much. The price can escalate to almost double the amount!||Overall, we had a pleasant stay at...
Read moreKo Lipe is a wonderful island but on the contrary Bundhaya is terrible. First of all the price we paid for this visit is not a good fit with everything the resort had to offer. The staff is unfriendly, rude and incredibly lazy. So lazy that the cleaning staff doesn’t even care about sand in and on the beds, also replacing shampoo etc was apparently too difficult for the sleeping cleaning staff (we literally saw them sleeping on the floor) Another weird thing about the resort is that there was no good separation between the newly built part (where they are still building) and the old part making it strange that we had to walk alongside a construction site to get to the breakfast. ||||The facilities like their so called ‘gym’ and WIFI were old dated and simply bad. Their complementary breakfast was so terrible that we simple walked to the walking street to get a proper breakfast instead of eating theirs. ||||I can go on and on with the bad things we experienced at the Bundhaya resort, but I would like to finish on a positive note; Ko Lipe is amazing and the perfect place to relax. ||||Just one more tip: I would advice everyone not to go here but go for example to the resort Akira Lipe where we have dined and chilled with pleasure during our stay...
