Summary

Staff: VERY RUDE!!! I look and am asian but does not mean I understand either Thai language or Chinese. English please or my native tongue only. I ordered fried tom yam rice and the staff asked me rudely. Zhu rou, chi rou or whatnot. I asked him/her(unsure of the gender) what is that. And he/she repeated loudly and slower. Does not help for me to understand you. And I asked back, what do you mean, I ordered "said food". That thing proceed to tell me RUDELY, I know your ordered(pointing at the menu), but speaking gibberish zhu rou, chi rou gibberish continues. Got annoyed and answered zhu rou. Googled it and it means pork.

Waiting time: OMG, you can even take your time to place order for banana pancake finish them go for second round and do survey for snorkelling trips. Ended I cancelled my order of mango salad spicy since we finish our meal and this dish

Food: Worst ever and I am not picky. Like tomyam fried rice tasted plain AF. Crab fried rice, tasted. Uweerghhh... worst? I keep on biting something on my dish( not sure what what surprise they intend) but biting the ingredients/spices is really unpleasant and kill my palate.

My recommendation, do go to castaway...

This is one of the best restaurants on the island. The staff are fun and friendly and the food is amazing! And the space is authenticity beach shack Thailand. We dined 3 times and each time the food and service was on point. Recommend the fresh fish of the day. We tried all styles, steamed, bbq and fried and each time the fish was cooked to perfection. The bbq fish we kept ordering as the chef knew how to treat the produce. The sauces that accompanied and broths were very flavourful and delicious. Whilst the fresh fish is more expensive than other dishes, it’s very affordable in western standards, especially if you love seafood and a whole fish cooked fresh to order. Recommend eating with morning glory, and fried rice to soak up the side sauces and delicious broths. The noodle dishes are also very good and the squid dishes were cooked to perfection. Will be back on...

Food taste good. They claim if not delicious will not bill the dish but at the end who will claim? 1st issue, Ordered Prawn at 1,200 THB/Kg but claim by the restaurant that served 1,400 THB/kg. Maybe the mistake caused from waitress but we got a very small prawn mixed suggest not to mix but bill by a portion of its weight (for restaurant if they read this)

2nd issue is menu and description from the waitress for chili paste also different. One menu have overlayed sticker with 150THB told small set but turn to be another story with even higher price.

Last issue is we ordered Squid fried with salted egg York which we ask if it will be delicious but not at all and we did not claim as I mentioned before……

Anyway the owner settle those issues as much as they can so we pay prawn at our order and 30 THB Discount on Chilli paste…
