I booked a double room with external toilets/ bathroom via trip for 2 nights. On arrival, I had the weirdest reception however. The room key card to trigger power for room was not working properly to ask for help!An older caretaker/ maintenance male grudgingly waked me to room to show me the card was able to trigger the power on for room.He found however that I had turn aircon remote to 16 degrees as I had in my frustration in not being able to had the power turned on with room card.I then received the Most SHOCKING berating and chiding for having turning A/C to 16 degrees for the moment in my frustration of not being able to trigger the power on in room.He gestured and demonstrated how I should turned the A/C to 22 degrees and have the fan on high instead and stormed out of the room without a word after lecturing me.I had just arrived and went to asked for help with power in room and received a hostile berating as if I was a kid??I do not know the people, had not dirtied the place or owed the money..but My Gosh…what a hostile, unwelcome and rude berating as if I owed the establishment something? The only reason I could think that I had received such an unwelcome “reception” is possibly booked through Trip and possibly received a low price for room they were not happy with.Anyways, the property is just front of beach along beach road with Tops supermarket below and 8 Eleven steps away. The room is spacious with large mirror and nice big curtains. You get sky light but wondow face another building and not sea view which is still great for price I’ve paid. The toilets and shower area are wonderful and best I’ve seen…the spaciousness and lighting in toilet/shower made it look and feel like an hotel/ SPA.Nonetheless, I will not be returning to this establishment anytime soon with the STRANGE hostile reception I’ve received.I am sure they are mostly decent hardworking people…however I will not be returning anytime soon!I hope Trip can look also into pricing the bookings in such manner that the hostels/motels/ motels do not take it out on...
Read moreMost likely the best hostel I have ever stayed in Asia(in the same building as a Teddy Bear Museum, there is a huge golden statuer in front of the stairs). I stayed in a female dorm room-lower bed for almost two weeks(extended my originally planned time)and it really felt like in a hotel(I saw some private rooms, but dorm offered more space, I would choose to stay in a female dorm room again). There are proper curtains, electric socket, bright light, ´table ´ and generous space around mattrace. AC working perfectly, wifi always disconnecting when not using (for a minute or so, which was annoying but it worked and there was a better-not disconnecting wifi in a lobby-if they give you a password.Password everywhere else is your bed number,e.g. D17 and d17. You get a huge locker with plastic boxes, towel-you can ask to have them changed, water, safe). As for the doors key and your locker-there is a programmed card instead of keys.Common restrooms amd showers were high Asian standard, there was a huge mirror and washing machine plus dryer too(you have to use coins to pay for it, 30 or 40 THB per one washing/drying) There is a proper kitchen there(with a water filter, hot plate and pots, cutlery, dishes,..to cook in amd a bigger fridge with freezer). Lobby is spacious with a sea view, terrace and AC. Staff is helpful and friendly,English level okay to some extend(google translate helps too;)) I would come to stay in The Bedrooms Hostel again for sure. It is right at the beach, close to Marina shopping centre, Terminal 21,...
Read moreI stayed at the property for several days twice during my Thailand trip.||||Originally I booked 2 - 7 day stays at the Nonze Capsule hostel, but found the Capsules of the Nonze extremely bad insulated and freezing cold.||||Therefore I moved to the Bedroom hostel and I am very glad I made the switch.||||Since Iam a very light sleeper I opted for a private room.||Their location is excellent and attrackts many party goers.||Most of the private rooms are along a hall way and I often woke up due to other guest arriving late.||||||The day-time front desk manager Nid was very accommodating and moved me to a private room away from the common hall. Also she was very patient and helpful adjusting my upcoming second reservation.||||The rooms are very small and after the 4th night I felt like moving to a different hotel.||||Overall the Hostel provides great value for your money.||The location is excellent and the price is very reasonable.||The facility is very modern and kept extremely clean. ||The Markland Cafe downstairs provided during my first two days at the Hostel different breakfast-set options. On my second stay over Christmas they offered a very nice breakfast buffet with multiple food options.||I also found the manager of the restaurant to be very accommodating.||||Again much thank to Nid who made my stay at the...
