Review of Green Tree Rest. & Pub (Visited on February 2, 2025) I had lunch at this restaurant on a Sunday with a 6-year-old child. We ordered simple dishes like nuggets, fried chicken, and two other appetizers, but the experience was extremely disappointing.
Poor Service: There were plenty of staff, but none of them were friendly or welcoming. It took a long time just to get the menu and place an order.
Unreasonably Long Waiting Time: We waited almost an hour for our food, even though we ordered simple dishes. Worse still, other tables that arrived later received their food before us. When we asked the staff about our order, they couldn’t give a clear answer. After following up again, we were finally told that the kitchen had skipped our order. This is unacceptable! With so many staff members, there should be better coordination to ensure customers are served in the correct order.
Disappointing Food Quality: After all that waiting, the food was not even good. Definitely not worth the long wait.
Overall, both the service and food were terrible. A very disappointing experience, and I won’t be...
Read moreI visited Pattaya for two nights and three days, and on the first night we decided to try Green Tree Restaurant after reading good reviews online. The restaurant has a lovely sea-facing ambience — it feels breezy and comfortable even though it’s open-air.
The staff were warm and welcoming, and even though there was a small language barrier, the waitress could communicate and understand us quite well.
We ordered chicken, shrimp, and vegetable fried rice, and everything tasted really good. They also offer small portions for single diners and can customize the rice based on your request. The Thai curry was perfectly spicy, and the fish sticks and spring rolls were great starters.
The only thing we didn’t like was the garlic bread, as it was quite hard to break. But the taro balls with coconut milk dessert were amazing — definitely a must-try!
We liked the food and overall experience so much that we came back again on our last day for lunch, and it was just as good.
If you’re in Pattaya, I’d highly recommend visiting Green Tree Restaurant for delicious food, good service, and a relaxing...
Read morePopped in for a refreshment due to the nice location. The place wasn't busy and it was well staffed, yet it took forever to get a menu, another forever to have our order taken, and eternity to get our round of draft beers served. Half an hour between sitting down and getting a beer. At least the beer was cold and refreshing and the price was OK, but food prices are extortionate. We decided to just snack on some cashews. A small plate cost 222 baht and they were not even served warm. We took that as a sign and moved on elsewhere. By the way, this is the only restaurant in the area still adding on the sneaky 17% ++ surcharges (an outdated practice that most places do not do anymore). Also super annoying factor was the jet ski operators across the street hooked up a loud speaker and were blaring out some terrible karaoke-style music right in the direction of the restaurant, which ruined the ambience. I suppose this is not the restaurant's fault, but if it were my restaurant, I would do whatever I needed to do to put a...
