Galatower Hotel — Hotel in Beyoğlu

We encountered several issues during our stay: Airport Transfer: We were told the driver would be waiting with a sign at the entrance. Instead, he called us and told us to come find him, which was unacceptable – especially considering we paid €40 for this service. Room and Bed: We booked a room with a large double bed, but received two single beds pushed together. This setup was uncomfortable and unsuitable for a couple. Bedding: The sheet provided was clearly for a single bed, far too small for two people, making sleep very uncomfortable. Cleanliness and Maintenance: • The shower leaked significantly during use. • There were visible blood stains on the wall from previously killed mosquitoes – extremely unhygienic. • The shower rail was unstable and fell with a light touch. Given its weight, this posed a real safety hazard. Iron Request: I had requested an iron before arrival. It wasn’t in the room. After going to reception, I received only an iron – no ironing board – and was told to use the bed to iron. This is both unprofessional and impractical.

Even more disappointing was the hotel’s response to our feedback. Instead of addressing the issues or offering a room change, we were told to check out immediately. This reaction showed a complete unwillingness to resolve the situation.

While we have been refunded, the poor handling, lack of professionalism, and overall discomfort made this one of the worst hotel experiences...

First of all i gave one star only because his location near to galata tower only other than that everything was bad very thin walls so all the time you are hearing everything outside the room and even the voices from the next room and we left the room in the morning to be cleaned and when we cane at night nothing happened we went to the reception two times for water and clean towels and they didn’t bring anything even the second day we asked for queen bed they but two small separate beds together with two different matrices not even big one so all the night me and my wife we are going down between the two beds and not only that they gave us small blanket only can cover one person and since day one we asked for bigger one because it’s cold and we don’t even able to be close from each other because the missed up beds and till or checkout nothing happened even the water we asked them for water in the room two times and they didn’t being anything and when we went to the reception to ask them they said they are out of water it was bad experience from every angel and I’ll won’t talk abou the view just see the photos and I’ll never go there again and it was...

We stayed in this hotel fr 4 days ..I must say the hotel is on the older side and the rooms are worn out a bit but the service compensated fr these big gaps..Ibrahim and another person were good to us and helped us a lot. We ordered food on a local app and had to b paid by card oly .so the hotel manager also paid with his card and we gave him cash later. Ibrahim upgraded us to a bigger room fr no charge. He was genuinely a kind person and helped me with routes and suggestions since we used public transport in Istanbul extensively. I forgot my camera on the day of check out and they have promised to send t to me to Antalya to my hotel where I will be traveling further.The hotel has its problems that the cabs with not so good drivers ( i mean who don't know routes in Istanbul or who are plain dumb)find it hard to reach. There was amazing coffee and Turkish tea 24 x7. The BF was decent. The staff make this hotel a good stay experience. That's y I give it a 5 stars. If the hotel can b renovated just a Lil bit it...
