A truly exceptional stay in the heart of Istanbul. Anemon Hotel is located right next to the iconic Galata Tower — you can practically touch it from the entrance. Being so centrally positioned, you can reach all major sightseeing spots within minutes, whether on foot or by short transport connections. It’s the perfect base for exploring the city.
What makes this hotel stand out even more is the extraordinary hospitality. The staff are genuinely warm, attentive, and always ready to assist with any request — no matter how small or specific. Their service mindset is professional yet personal, making you feel immediately welcomed.
The absolute highlight, however, is their remarkable wine selection. The hotel produces its own red and white wines, offering an impressive variety with real character and quality. The team is highly knowledgeable about wine pairings and provides excellent recommendations tailored to your taste.
Another unforgettable feature is the historic Ottoman-era catacomb within the hotel, where guests can enjoy curated cheese platters and wine tastings in a truly atmospheric setting. This unique blend of history, tradition, and modern hospitality reflects the spirit of this family-run establishment — deeply rooted in heritage, yet contemporary and cosmopolitan in its approach.
Anemon is not just a hotel; it’s an experience that combines location, culture, gastronomy, and heartfelt service at the highest level.
Hotel Review
The hotel is very good and its location is truly exceptional and interesting, especially being right next to Galata Tower.
I had a small issue with the room, as there was a slight unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom, and it needs some improvement in this regard. However, I would like to sincerely mention the elderly man and woman who were responsible for cleaning the rooms — they were extremely kind, friendly, and wonderful, which made a big positive difference to our stay.
Breakfast was average in terms of variety, but the view was absolutely breathtaking. From one side, you can see many of Istanbul’s landmarks, and from the other side, Galata Tower stands tall and magnificent right next to the hotel — a truly unforgettable view.
Regarding breakfast service, the tea service was quite exhausting for the lady who served it every day, as she had to refill it repeatedly. In my opinion, it would be much better if tea were available as part of the buffet so guests could serve themselves more comfortably.
In the end, our stay was wonderful and we spent a very special time at this hotel. The room décor was beautiful and very elegant. I definitely recommend this experience to everyone, as the minor negatives are insignificant compared to the incredible location right next to Galata Tower.
1: breakfast is supposed to finish at 11 AM we went upstairs for breakfast at 10:30 AM and then we were kept on being notified that breakfast finishes at 11 continuously and we were given the cold shoulder. The same manner was repeated the next day though we went to have breakfast at 9:30 AM this time. The menus for the hot breakfast were all piled up at the side if you don’t know about it, you can’t order a hot breakfast and you’ve missed it
2: the electricity is very weird as at 2 AM the AC is closed from the main so you have to either open it manually from your own room or call them to open it for you. I think this is done on purpose to save on electricity.
3: At checkout administration charged us for items from the minibar which we did not consume. Those items were not even in the minibar when we arrived but were listed on the mini bar’s menu. So, it’s a good idea to match the menu that’s in the room with the actual items. luckily and we told him that we did not consume anything so he omitted the charge
4: No quilts or duvet are provided just a thin throw over blanket.
5: The location is Excellent with a superb view but it’s on a high steep hill which you have to bare in mind.
6: beds were comfortable
