Had the pleasure of stopping by for a quick coffee and cake break prior to taking a stroll down İstiklal Caddesi towards Taksim Square. Prior to dining here we had openly communicated to the wait staff and the floor manager that my sister has a life threatening allergy to pistachio. While we knew there was a chance they would not be able to ensure that no cross contamination was present, the floor manager and wait staff that greeted us took the time to understand exactly what we were asking of them and ensured us that they would personally go to the kitchen to bring a slice of cheese cake to the table that had been cut with a clean knife from a freshly baked cake, before it had the chance to be placed in the same cabinet as products containing pistachio. The floor manager did exactly. The cheese cakes and the coffees were both exceptional, however in this case the service was even more so. Once we finished up we never got the chance to thank the two that assisted us in our request (as they had likely changed shifts). One was a younger girl and the other a male with a walkie talkie. I would highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking for a slice of San Sebastian cake near the...
Read moreVery rude service. My family and I were sitting outside have a few drinks which were honestly nothing special. An adorable little girl came to sell roses and as I was about to buy them management and servers began yelling at her and kicked her out. What really aggravated me was when I believe the male who I believe is the manager actually pushed her multiple times when the girl already walked out along with still yelling at her. That is not acceptable! I understand it’s business and you are not allowed to come in an establishment to sell but there are ways to handle things. I was beyond shocked. We paid our bill and left ASAP! No one let alone a child should be treated like that. Luckily I was able to find the child and gave her $20 and told her to keep the roses. That will result in 770 Turkish lira so atleast she and her family can get a decent meal to eat with that! WILL NEVER...
Read moreThis coffee shop is located in the beating heart of Türkiye, near the Galata Tower of Istanbul. The ambience and atmosphere is breathtaking, with seats facing the Galata tower through the street.
Their dessert is excellent, we had the Dubai chocolate ball, San Sebastián cheesecake, and Pumpkin special, and all of them were delicious. The San Sebastián cheesecake was the best we had in Istanbul, it was obviously fresh and served with a decadent, rich chocolate sauce.
In terms of drinks, their chemex was especially fragrant and their latte was very delicious. We had no complaints and even went for seconds with their drinks and dessert.
The staff were all friendly and respectful, and asked us if we needed anything and everything was fine.
Great coffeeshop, great vibes,...
