Klas Hotel — Hotel in Fatih

Don’t make the same mistake we did by trusting the reviews on Agoda and Booking. Do not book this hotel. It is old, dirty and noisy. Reception staff and the bell boy are nice and try to be helpful, but that's it. We arrived a bit earlier, the room wasn’t ready – fine, we understood. We were told it would be if we agreed to two single beds, but we wanted one double. We knew it was before time, so we waited patiently. In the meantime, around 1:30 another couple and then a man arrived and got their rooms right away. After 2 PM our room still wasn’t ready, so we kept waiting in the lobby without air conditioning. Around 2:30 they finally said it was ready, but it wasn’t – the floor was full of crumbs and hair, the same in cupboards and even on the sheet. I had to ask for cleaning. The “big bed” was just two singles pushed together, with mattresses of different height. The pool is dirty, with paint peeling off and sticking to your feet, tissues or something similar floating inside, and dead insects. At least the water was heavily chlorinated. There are many sunbeds, which is a plus. There was also a note saying that in the pool area itself (the pool is separated from the area with the sunbeds and chairs) it is not allowed to consume food or drinks. But people outside were drinking beer and eating sandwiches. We also wanted to drink a beer – after some time a staff member started waving his finger and making faces, and when we were leaving he loudly said alcohol was not allowed on the terrace. When asked why others could, he said because they bought it in the hotel. There is absolutely no information anywhere that you cannot bring your own drinks. The next day, early in the morning before breakfast, we hung the sign asking for the room to be cleaned and left the towels in the shower according to the instructions (the room is very humid, especially with the A/C off, so towels don’t dry). When we came back at 6 PM – nothing was done. The room wasn’t cleaned, towels weren’t changed. Instead, someone left two bottles of water and, for some reason, two apples and a plum. So someone entered, saw the sign and ignored the request. I had to ask for towels. We waited 40 minutes, first they sent pool towels, only after explaining again we got two proper sets. The room is extremely noisy – doors, walls and windows let everything through. In the bathroom you can hear exactly what the neighbour is doing. The street outside is loud, you fall asleep to Russian music, only the old and noisy AC helped cover it. Toilet paper cannot be thrown into the toilet, but the trash bin is not emptied. The hairdryer is partly melted, smells like burning. The AC is leaking, so do not keep your luggage under it, or it will be soaking wet. The elevators keep breaking, often not working, and even when they do they are so slow that stairs are faster. Breakfasts are basically ok, but fresh juices and omelets cost extra. It is a pity nobody cleans the dining room – even when we were the first in the morning the floor was dirty from the previous day, crumbs, wrappers, shoe marks, dirty plates. The only positives – decent internet for hotel standards, Smart TV in the room, and close to the metro station.

How on earth can this place have 4 stars it's so so dirty At a glance you might think reception area was OK but boy the dirt there's a unit aircon I think it's full with dirt under it and all down the front I'm sure if you ran a cloth across the top the dust would blind you Along with the glass on the coffee tables been dirty there's so much dirt between the class and wood All along the skirting is filthy And it's nothing until you go upstairs the carpet is stained and disgusting walls need paint Our room came with a clean bed toilet and sink We received chrips and dust beside the bed complementary of the hotel. The TV screen and mirror smug marks the locker stained and dirty I ran my finger across the top of the bed and whoo the dirt also wiped the inside of the window it came off as black as the floor and believe me the floors were black we were sticking to them our socks won't see white again. Apart from the dirt the hotel is not at all customer focused one night I got parted from my friend it was dark and we had no Internet I found my way back and asked if the receptionist would ring my friend just to see where she was and I could try get back to her The refused leaving someone scared in a strange country in the dark not nice. Drinks are served beside the pool so no problem with drink in the area but I bought up a cup of tea he threw it away rather than allow me to drink it. The hotel are advising an offer if you stay more than 6 nights you received a taxi to the airport and some other stuff I asked about the taxi was told it only applies if you book through them that's what it should say then We stayed for 10 nights only 1 tiny hole in the wall ment to be a wardrobe not sure how 1 person could put clothes let alone 2 only 1 bedside table no natural light in the room we couldn't tell if the sun was shining or if it was snowing outside. Your paying for 4 star and getting 2. On the plus side the showers were nice and hot and the 2 young bell boys were lovely. I won't say anything bad about the food because I saw plenty of people filling up the plates so they liked it for us we eat the melon and if we wanted omelette or orange juice they were 4...

At first glance the reception area looks OK it's not the coffee tables have so much dirt between the class and wood along with the dirt on the glass and the air con unit the skirting it's dirty but nothing until you go up stairs The carpets the walls are filthy mop buckets and cleaning stuff left in the hallway Our room had a clean bed sink and toilet The floor were disgusting crisps and dust left mirror and TV finger printed ran my at the back of the bed the dust so thick walls and locker stained we wiped the inside of the window and it was black I got parted from my friend after I managed to get back to the hotel I asked reception to all her as she had no WiFi it was dark and I knew she would be afraid I just wanted him to ask where she was and I could try get to her a 2 second call he refused leaving her out there. They are advising free taxi transfers if you stay more than 6 nights when I asked first he said he had no idea what I was talking about when I should him he said its only if you book through them should state that then. Though drinks are served by the pool he threw away my tea rather then let me drink it because I bought it from the room 😒The breakfast must be OK because I was people piling up plates we only liked the melon and if you wanted to try orange juice or omelette you paid euro for each extra 😱it's no more than a 2 star and I'm being nice so why are they allowed to change 4 star price whoever gave this place 4 stars must be in a very good mood that day.
