Terrible experience, avoid this place at all costs!

If I could give zero stars, I would! This restaurant tried to scam us on two separate occasions but this time they really crossed the line. Along with the beers we ordered, they brought us some nuts that we didn’t ask for and later we found out they charged us 250 TL for them, without any explanation. They had also promised us a discount on the beers but, when the bill came, we were shocked to see an extra 350 TL added (including a 10% service fee on the total).

When we pointed out the mistake, they refused to listen and even went so far as to print a second receipt with inflated prices to try and cover themselves. Luckily, I had the original receipt and I kept it in my pocket and when I threatened to call the police, they suddenly backed down, obviously because they knew they were in the wrong.

Something similar had happened the day before, but as the waiter was young and kind I decided to pay without making a fuss. This time, though, I stood my ground on principle. The staff, including waiters and managers, even physically blocked the door to stop me from leaving, trying to make it look like I didn’t want to pay… a ridiculous scene in front of the other customers.

Horrible service, disgraceful behaviour and a shameless attempt to scam us. Stay far away...

I stayed at the hotel for one week and ate at this restaurant all week long. Unfortunately, on Friday night, the personal working at the restaurant make me feel like it wasn’t my place to be.

They make me eat near the entrance as I was alone with the speakers very out lourd in my ears. It was Painful. I asked for my dessert 3 times and it was never served. I have to go the counter check myself to pay my bill otherwise I could have stay seated for 1 hour without anybody checking me out as I was not a local client with « a lot of money ». The priority was given to the local clients around as if I there for charity. Besides, Clients was smoking cigarettes in the restaurant which is so disrespectful of non smockers clients. Service is not synchronised and obviously the manager was more interested in local rather than a tourist man of colour....

So,me and my friend (females) visited the restaurant on January 5th 2025. The staff was pushy to get us in. My friend and I ordered a bottle of wine from the menu,listed at 1,200 TL,but when the bill came,they suddenly claimed it was 2,200 TL. When i confronted them,they made up an a excuse about giving us "old menus from three years ago" with outdated prices. Of course I understand the service part- that was never the issue,we had no trouble with it. The problem was that they tried to trick us. Stay away,if you are not from Turkey,especially if you're women. They pulled the classic "ooops wrong menu". The older waiter leading the scam acted like it was no big deal.
