Mavirem Hotel — Hotel in Fatih

First of all I wouldn’t trust the lady at Monchester tour at the airport. A good sales person, but tries to joke away your questions by showing you the doctored pictures on the website.

However her misrepresenting isn’t the problem. The place is very small. A man can barely fit into the shower unless he is very short. The room as a whole is rather small that the pictures would have you believe. The lobby was not clean and during checkin, a process that should take a few minutes took 20 with me standing at the counter while the attendant was doing something while also having a loud conversation in his cell phone. The room was already paid for and I was a tired traveler in need of sleep.

The building is next door to some bad part of town. Looks like the building next door is in a state of disrepair. No view from the windows.

The location is near nothing of interest and far from the Blue Mosque area that the Moncher travel person claimed. Note I was not budgetary constrained.

The walls are paper thin, you can hear your neighbors conversations next door upstairs and downstairs. The door to the room doesn’t look very secure.

Lastly the whole building has a strong smell of smoke. Marijuana + Cigarette smoke from what I can tell. Not appropriate for anyone with allergies which I also suffer from.

What really made the situation bad enough to write about was the AC decided to stop functioning at 12:20 am. Have an early flight, so I’m just going to leave for the airport and consider this money lost over trusting Moncher travel. To the staff’s credit, they did try to figure root the AC issue.

I would not recommend the place because it is just not the standards I’m us to. I suppose if you like to smoke, the smell might be fine. The location and lack of privacy seems to not...

Our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The staff were not very friendly and struggled with English. The breakfast was very poor compared to the pictures – many items shown online were missing, and it was obvious they used mirrors or wide-angle lenses to make the buffet and rooms appear larger than they really are. Even something as simple as an omelette cost an extra 3€.

The room was very small, the elevator often didn’t work, and the beds were uncomfortably tiny. The air conditioning barely worked, making the room hot at all times, and the curtains were thin with a hole, letting in a lot of light.

The worst part was the bed. By the third night, we noticed a stain on the bedsheet and asked for our room to be cleaned. After the cleaning, we checked again and found huge amounts of stains on the mattress protector and pillows – stains that looked like bodily fluids. It was absolutely disgusting. Only after complaining did they finally change everything and provide proper sheets, but this happened towards the end of our stay. I will be providing photos to prove this.

We also spoke with other guests who were equally frustrated and disappointed. This hotel does not match what is advertised online, and the hygiene standards were completely unacceptable. Definitely not...

Отель за приемлемые деньги в удобном месте. Расположение. Метро, Marmaray и трамвай — в пешей доступности, буквально в пару минут. Магазины и рестораны также рядом, всё можно обойти пешком. Очень удобно для перемещений по городу. Здание и номер. Здание в приличном состоянии внутри: ремонт не самый свежий, но вполне аккуратно, не разваливается. Номер находился на 5 этаже, подходит для четверых — места хватает. Лифт работает. Вид из окна на соседние здания, красивых панорам ожидать не стоит. Шкафы есть, но неудобно пользоваться — они расположены за кроватью. Удобства и обслуживание. Вода пополняется ежедневно. Уборка лёгкая, мусор выносили каждый день. При заселении были шампуни, мыло и ватные палочки. Холодильник среднего размера (не маленький) и в рабочем состоянии. В номере два исправных кондиционера, удобные кровати, также есть чайник, кружки и стакан. Питание и цена. Завтраки не большие предоставлялись. По цене для этого района Стамбула — скорее адекватно. Итог. Хороший вариант для тех, кто ценит удобное расположение и базовый комфорт. Главные минусы — не самый свежий ремонт, неудобное размещение шкафов и отсутствие вида. В остальном — аккуратно и функционально. Недостатки. Ремонт не самый свежий, но приемлемый. Ванная совмещена с туалетом и в ней отсутствует вытяжка (не работает) . Душевая система работает не полностью. Двери в ванной и в самом номере плохо закреплены в дверной коробке — они могут вывалиться, что представляет серьёзный недостаток с точки зрения безопасности и комфорта гостей.
