Meserret Palace Istanbul — Hotel in Fatih

Date of stay: 01-06 Dec 2024 Room type: Family Room (1 queen bed, 3 single beds) Pros: Location is superb. Just behind Hafiz Mustafa. Very near to Sirkeci Tramvay. Walking distance to Eminonu Pier.

I booked a family room and it was beautiful. The decor and bedding arrangements were good. Room was very spacious. Nice little balcony. 1 room with queen bed and the other with 3 single beds.

Staffs were very friendly and the lady receptionist knew my name when I arrived for check in! A first time for me. We were always greeted everytime we pass by. It really makes you feel warm and welcoming.

Breakfast was good. Restaurant is at the basement. Decor was good and spacious. Juices, cakes, soup, breads, cheese, eggs, salad etc were served every morning.

Housekeeping was good also. They cleaned up my room daily and topped up the essential toiletries.

The hotel smells really good upon entering.

Cons A bit noisy at night due to vehicles honking as the hotel is at a busy street

Breakfast menu could be better as they provide constantly the same menu every day. There are a few dishes that you could order but need to pay for it.

The carpets in the room could use a little shampooing.

Overall, I think this hotel has the best location in SIrkeci and for a family of 5, this is one of the better hotels that we have stayed as a family in Sirkeci area. I would definitely recommend this hotel for its beautiful room and...

The hotel is a beautifully renovated historical building.

The corner suite (1+1) is very spacious for a family of five. The kids' room has three twin beds, and the master has a nice king bed with a beautiful bay window.

The hotel and the rooms are spotless and nicely decorated.

The hotel staff is very courteous and attentive.

The hotel can arrange a limo service from/to the airport, but it is a third-party company, and the hotel doesn’t have control over the vehicle or the driver. (You may want to arrange your transportation unless you are ok with an old minivan with no A/C, as the limo company sends whatever the vehicle is available at your pick-up time.)

It is a historical building, so be prepared for temporary water loss due to regular maintenance.

The hotel is a block away from Sirkeci Subway Station and the Ferry Pier. It is also within walking distance of prominent landmarks in Istanbul, including Hagia Sofia, Basilica Cistern, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar, Galata Tower, Taksim Square, and more.

A perfect location for discovering most of the best tourists sight. They could be reached either by tram (tram stop five minute walk away) or by walking (only ten minutes). Hotel was old Turkish and full of character. We booked a Deluxe Twin Room (307). The room was large, nice large bed and furnished with a couple of nice chairs and a table. View from the window was not much and it could get noisy up to midnight. But after a days sightseeing / walking you slept like a log. Hotel was very clean and well maintained. The bathroom was good and large.|Breakfast was ok. It was free. Lovely breakfast room full of character. The staff were marvellous. The reception team of Yasin, Selver, Humay and the bell boy ensured that all our needs were met and provided lots of advice in a friendly, welcoming manner. |There were scores of eating places within 100 metres of the hotel. A ten minute walk to the ferry and tourist boats was quite welcome. The overall atmosphere and vibe in this part of Istanbul is fantastic. Overall value for money? Yes.
