I stayed at the Pianoforte this week with my wife and son. We booked a room with 3 twin sized beds several months ahead of our visit. This is a great hotel! From the outside, it looks about average but the interior of the hotel is modern and recently renovated. I'd give a 10/10 for cleanliness. The rooms have hardwood flooring which I wish more hotels would use (no carpeting). Rooms are impeccably clean, AC keeps the room very cool, and the shower has SUPERB water pressure. The rooms are a little bit small with the 3 beds but manageable. The staff were fantastic. On days when we did not request room cleaning, the staff still would make an effort to knock on the door or ask in the hallway if there is anything we need such as towels. Front desk staff = A++, dining staff = outstanding, hard working, ready and willing to accommodate any requests within reason. The breakfast had a lot of choices but definitely caters to Turkish guests. Western guests may not be as impressed but it was fine for a complimentary breakfast. Great tea and coffee selections. Adding to the cleanliness of the hotel and great staff, one of the key selling points of this hotel is location. It's central and close to most of the hot spots in Istanbul. Fateh mosque is about a 10 minute walk and has tons of shopping and dining options. The bus stop is only 2 blocks away and can take you into the Grand Bazaar and that area in 3 stops. Everything is close and this location is central, loved that part of it. I've stayed in more expensive hotels in Istanbul but this is where I'd return for all the...
Read moreThe Hotel was not as we expected to be. The location was not as described by the Host. Everything was far away from the Hotel. The Room Service was poor, no cleaning at all, eventhough I put on the room door the sign to clean. It was also very loud, the cleaning ladies were talking loud and the washing maschine was also there, all night washing. The breakfast was poor for 10 Euros. Just a few things were served. Lobby was also in front of the door with just one Sofa and two Chairs and everytime we were in or out we weren’t greeted from the Receptionists. I do not suggest this Hotel. Of course, in order to defend yourself you say that you didn’t find me in your system. But, I do have an evidence that we stayed at your Hotel, and I hope that the people will take me seriously. This is our opinion and our bad experience at your Hotel and it is our Right...
Read moreSo here are my experiences of the hotel. The staff doesn't really speak English so communication is difficult sometimes.
They offer breakfast, but I wish I knew the process of it in advance. It's room service, an old lady walks around at 8am, banging on the doors and shouting breakfast. If you want to rest you will wake up every time, even if you refuse it. Their breakfast is awful, I got sick from their tea and vomited.
They give you just 1 toilet paper (the thinnest one) and change it only when it's complete used.
The staff doesn't really care about the quiet hours, people are noisy at night (1-2am) and kids sometimes run around.
In general poor hotel managing and services. The only positive is that they...
