I recently had the experince of dining at Rumeli Cafe & Restaurant in Fatih, Istanbul, and overall, it was a delightful experience.

The restaurant boasts a warm and inviting atmosphere, with traditional Turkish décor that creates an authentic vibe. The seating arrangements were comfortable, and the lighting was just right, providing a cozy ambiance for a relaxing meal.

Considering the quality of food and service, the prices at Rumeli Cafe & Restaurant were reasonable. The portion sizes were generous, ensuring that we left feeling satisfied. Moreover, the overall experience and the attention to detail in the preparation of the dishes made it worth the price.

Although our dining experience at Rumeli Cafe & Restaurant was excellent, there were a few minor areas that could be improved. Firstly, the waiting time for our food was slightly longer than expected, but once it arrived, the taste made up for the delay. I came here few times and it was always great food and service, but today the waitress forgot to bring my order then she gave me my waffle with wrong choices. I asked for pistachio and hazelnut cream with chocolate sauce and cherries waffle . She gave me waffle with strawberries and kiwis. When I told her it’s not mine she took it and followed her to double check she didn’t know what’s my order and didn’t ask me to do it right she put the sauce she chose with banana i told her I didn’t ask for bananas then she took them with her bare hands, when I told her again my order she said oh sorry we can’t put the cherries it’s already 6 things in the waffle?? 2 of them weren’t mine she chose it her self, then she said ok no problem I’ll put cherries? Bu yorumu yazmama sebep olan şey mekanın sorunlu kuver uygulamasıdır. Öncelikle şunu söylemem gerekir ki kuver uygulaması gıda işletmelerini suistimalden korumak için yeri geldiğinde önemli olabilmekte. İki kişilik serpme kahvaltı söyleyip onu 5-6 kişi yemeye kalkan ve üstüne de demlik demlik çay isteyenler çıkabiliyor. Fakat Rumeli'nin kuver anlayışı kendi imajları açısından birazcık problemli kanımca. Şöyle ki, mekanda 6 kişilik bir grup olarak serpme kahvaltı istedik. Serpme kahvaltılarının gayet zengin olduğunu bildiğimiz için 4 adet serpme kahvaltı servisi açtırdık masaya (mekanın bir serpme kahvaltısı bir kişi için gerçekten çok zengin, hatta fazla. iki kişiyi bile rahatlıkla doyurur). Bunun yanına ek olarak da 3 adet gözleme menü istedik. Üzülerek söylüyorum, masadaki kahvaltılıklar bitmedi, düşünün ki 6 yetişkin erkek olarak masadaki menüyü bitiremedik. Üstelik gözleme menüsü söyleyen arkadaşlar da serpme kahvaltı mezelerine bizimle ortak olmasına rağmen. Hesabı ödedikten sonra farkettim ki, gözleme menüsü söyleyen iki arkadaşım serpme kahvaltılıkların yanında termosla verilen çaylardan içtiği için faturaya 27 TL ilave edilmiş. Bu durum bizi şu açıdan rahatsız etti; Üç gözleme menüsü 49 TL + kuver ücreti 27 TL toplamda 76 TL yapar. Biz gözleme menü yerine iki kişilik daha serpme kahvaltı söylesek yanında bir termos çayı ile birlikte 70 TL ücreti var. Bu durum takdir edersiniz, müşteride haksızlık, hatta kazıklanmışlık duygusu meydana getiriyor. 6 adet serpme kahvaltıya çayı ile birlikte 210 TL ödenecekken biz 4 serpme + 3 gözlemeye daha fazlasını ödedik. Şunu özellikle belirtmek isterim ki 6 kişilik bir serpme kahvaltı için 210 TL 'lik bir hesap gayet makul bir fiyat, zira çayı da yanında. Fakat işletmenin uygulamış olduğu hatalı kuver uygulamasından ötürü biz 4 serpme kahvaltı alıp 6 serpme fiyatından daha fazlasını ödedik. Kuver uygulaması bu şekilde adeta müşteriyi cezalandırır nitelikte olmamalı. İşletmelerin bu gibi ince konulara dikkat etmesi gerekiyor. Zaten bu hususu kendileri ile paylaştık. Umarım kuver uygulamalarını gözden geçirirler... Son olarak şunu da ekleyim ve işletmenin kalitesine saygısızlık etmiş olmayayım ; Mekanın kahvaltısı gerçekten zengin ve ürünler de gayet taze idi.
