Riverland ApartSuites — Hotel in Fatih

Avoid Tree House Otel at all costs! A -5 star experience! We initially checked in at Riverland Suites, where the staff was welcoming. But since they didn’t have enough rooms, they “recommended” their partner hotel — Tree House Otel. So we booked two rooms there.

On 07.08.2025, something absolutely unacceptable happened: the staff entered my mother’s room without permission, went through her personal belongings, and kicked her out without notice, moving her to another room without her consent or explanation!

The staff at Tree House Otel is rude, unprofessional, and completely untrained. The manager? Useless — no apology, no accountability.

Tree House Otel is a disgrace. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT! The only positive thing was Ramazan from Riverland Suites, who was incredibly kind and helpful. He came with us, helped us check out of that nightmare hotel, and brought us back to Riverland where we were treated with respect.

This review is dated 4th of September 2023. The room is dirty, the refrigerator is NOT working at all, the walls have stains and scratches. The furniture is old and not in good shape. No breakfast included. I DO NOT RECOMMEND even for a low budget vacation.

Later edit 11 September 2023: The hotel manager changed my room after the initial review. The new room was clean and nice but a little bit noisy. The refrigerator not working again. All the time the whole team offered assistance which is a BIG PLUS. In the end the staying was OK. On a scale from 1 to 10 I would appreciate the whole experience at 6+. I don't know why there are so many 5 star reviews. Pros of the place: location, cleaned every day, friendly host (at night there is a different guy there, doesn't know english), air conditioning. Cons: the condition of room is poorly taken care of: we have a broken door, broken microwave, everything shows that it was used A LOT. Windows go to a next building 1 meter away and there's always someone poking out, frying fish, smoking, talking. A mosque is nearby, so you will be waken up at 5:30 every day.
