Pros The owner is friendly, helpful, and has excellent customer service. He’s very responsive to requests. The breakfast is superb—beautifully prepared, and we thoroughly enjoyed it during our stay.
Cons There was constant bass pounding from a neighboring bar, which might be tolerable for some but was bothersome for us as light sleepers. On our first night, a loud karaoke event ran past 11 PM, with someone singing (very poorly) at the top of their voice. Thankfully, this was a one-time event, but the persistent bass noise remained an issue.
A serious problem was the foul sewer odour coming from the toilet in our first room. The first night was especially unpleasant. The owner kindly upgraded us to another room the next day, which was much better overall. However, even there, we noticed a lingering unpleasant smell from the toilet and had to keep the door shut after each use.
The internet is painfully slow, and the TVs are very basic—no smart features, casting, or external device connectivity.
Most facilities are dated and need upgrades such as wobbly tables, broken toilet lid (I had to hold it while peeing), the shower tap positioned too low, and weak,...
Read moreWe had the MOST wonderful time at Escape Cave in October 2024. We booked blindly trusting the photos and reviews, and honestly our expectations were immensely surpassed. At first I was weary of the low number of reviews, but came to learn it's because this was a home newly transformed into a hotel. The host, Mustafa was so kind and warm, and the front desk helper (also Mustafa) was a GREAT help as we planned our adventures once settled on site. We are so glad we chose to stay in Goreme compared to the adjacent towns because there were plenty of restaurants, shops, and hikes all from the hotel. The location was amazing, and this is one of the very few places we would go out of our way to come back to stay. Honestly, best decision and HIGHLY recommend this place and town. It's a once in a lifetime experience and we give all the thanks to Escape Caves. Oh, and the breakfast is phenomenal with excellent staff!!! Can't say enough good...
Read morehotel is probably the best we stayed in during our 3 weeks in Turkey. The rooms are beautiful and big and very tastefully decorated Staff are amazing and go out of their way to assist The hotel is only 1 minute walk to the many shops and restaurants. The room we had had amazing views of the balloons at sunrise. Also there is a rooftop area that has amazing views of the caves and town. The food was exceptional and this is a family run business, so it has a beautiful personal touch. The breakfast was included and had a variety of food and everything that was served was very tasty. Havva was the cook and she was a lovely lady. Mustafa was also one of the owners and ia also a master pilot for balloons, so If you go on a balloon ride ask for Mustafa. The rooms were immaculate. Would def stay again and thanks for the beautiful experience we had staying...
