The policy of hotel does not correspond the price .I made the payment when I booked my room thru hotels.com. I arrived the hotel with a friend of mine. When we are at the hotel,At checking, they asked our credit cards for deposit of using mini bar. My friend did not have his card with him. So they said, it is ok, if we use anything from mini bar , we should pay later.
They asked me if it is ok for me too. I said ok too.
so we checked in and after 10 minutes someone knocked the door. I opened the door and saw a guy from room service is waiting outside. I asked what happened ? he was a little bit ashamed and said, "you did not pay deposit and I have to take everything inside from mini bar" :)) he came in and took them all :)) it was really funny to see something like that in a 5 star hotel. and very dissapointing!! For many years I ve stayed many hotels. in someof them I paid deposit at check in , some I did not. But first time I saw something like that. :(((
PS: And also maybe it is not the most important thing, but, the toilet papers they put in our room were the cheapest quality that you can find in the market. Maybe you can see that kind of toilet papers in 2 star hotels.
The only good thing , was the guy IGOR at the reception. He was very friendly. only he deserves 5 star...
Read moreWe were in this hotel for 4 nights. We were satisfied from the first contact. We had a room on the 9th floor overlooking the river. Absolutely amazing view. It slightly disturbs the noise from the highway, but the hotel can only influence it by replacing the windows, but the view balanced it. The staff helpful and helpful and the concierge arranged for us what we needed and was very helpful. Breakfast excellent and sufficient. There was just a small pool in the wellness, but we knew that on arrival. The restaurant was a big disappointment. The service was fine, but the food, which looked amazing on the plate, the tastes were completely unbalanced and completely overcharged. Basically, I was glad I ate it quickly. It's a shame, because this hotel deserves good cuisine. So if you want to eat well, choose another restaurant. The hotel bar is beautiful and with a good atmosphere. AC didn’t work which made my room being at 28C for two of four nights, maintenance couldn’t do anything about it after mentioning it to the front desk
Rooms are very good if you like this kind of interior, but they offer plenty of storage and amenities
The restaurant where the morning buffet is served offers really good food, but the easiest of things like keeping the orange juice restocked aren’t taken care of, same for fruits and on some days
And this while one of the guys managed to bring me my latte on the third without me even ordering it, shows that there are great people among the staff who get the hospitality approach of a brand like Fairmont
Views are great if you choose your room accordingly, the cafe that is used as a lobby bar offers good pastries, but takes away a lot of the usually popular Fairmont lobby bar
I wouldn’t stay here again considering that rates and service just don’t go together
