Booked for four nights and by the second night the receptionist advised me at 11pm that I have to check out the next day at 10am because they have to repaint the walls because they're not white enough. She said that they will transfer me to another hostel but she couldn't even tell me the name. The next day they knock on my door to tell me that I have to leave and they're sending me to the hostel and they still wouldn't tell me where this place is, they couldn't understand why I am so mad, they couldn't understand why it's upsetting to tell a guest at 11pm that I have to check out at 10 am the next day even though I am paid up for 4nights, they can't understand the fact that my plans are now ruined because of them, they can't understand that now I spend hours looking for a place and my choices were limited because it's Independence Day in Ukraine, they can't understand why I wouldn't stay in a place where they dumped me like a piece of crap where it's no where near to how they described it. The manager was extremely rude. She refused to tell me her name and had a smirk on her face the whole time I'm trying to tell her how frustrated I was. It's disgusting really. I was nothing but kind to them and in return they treated me like crap. I stormed back at this hotel after they dumped me at the hostel they transferred me to- I asked for my refund and the manager was hesitant to give it back to me, I asked for a receipt and she pretended she didn't know what I was talking about. How could a manager not speak English but everyone other workers there did? She's definitely a mediocre. Useless. The place is beautiful, it's too bad it's run by an...
Read moreI believe that Family Residence Boutique Hotel is a hidden gem in Lviv. On the outisde, you will find an old building but inside, you will see that it was recently renovated (2016, I believe) and you won't regret it.||||But here's my review:||||ROOMS: Considerable large rooms, simple, beautiful and with a modern look, with a large and very comfortable bed. Rooms have AC, TV, couch, hanging open closet, but no mini-bar (nonetheless you have bottles of water available) and no deposit box (do you actually need it?...)||The bathroom is small sized but with shower, but will everything you will need.||By the way, if you have a room facing the street, you probably will feel the noise from cars and early birds... if you get the chance, ask for a room facing the inner yard.||||CLEANLINESS: Perfectly and spotlessly clean (room and linen). 5 stars!||||STAFF: Very, very friendly and helpful. If you need any help, be sure that the staff will be there for you. 5 stars!!||||EATING: No restaurant or breakfast included (down side). But you are in the city center and there are plenty of offers near.||||LOCATION: Quite close to the Ivan Franko University and at a 5-10 minutes walk to the main square (Rynok sq.), so in a quiet part of the city, but close to...
Read moreNice and cozy hotel, silent and pacific environment, very friendly staff on reception. Location - very good, just behind University main building, in 5-10 minutes from city centre and main points of interest in old city. Not so expensive as for central location and perfect living conditions (quality/price ratio is acceptable). Room was big enough, bathroom carefully cleaned, water equipment worked properly. Bed - wide and silent, air in the room - conditioned and fresh. Wi-fi - free, speedy. ||There's no breakfast in this hotel but next door - fast food facility Puzata Khata (no burgers and chips but normal breakfast in English or Continental style).||TV - that's the problem. Channel which we wanted to watch football was locked and hotel staff was unable to help us. Despite of they tried.||Thanks to people in this hotel - we really feel ourselves as at home-stay.||I should recommend this hotel for touristic or business-trip...
