Palace restaurant manager Khaoula E - she is a true meaning of hospitality. Khaoula has gone above and beyond during our stay, ensuring all our dietary requirements have been met. Her knowledge, expertise and personality not only suits her role but shows us she has a passion in all she does. Khaoula is an asset to the hotel and I truly feel she will go far in her career. We wish her continued success and hope to see her on our next visit.
Chef Vinod and team have taken exceptional care in producing delicious dishes for us. Olive restaurant has one of the most cleanest buffets for breakfast - a good variety of food choices (home-made granola, to the hot dishes) and service. The fruit selection was our favourite part along with our catered dishes.
A huge thank you, to both Khaoula and Chef Vinod for ticking off one of my bucket lists (from a conversation to actually happening moment). They organised a personal cooking class in their amazing kitchen this truly has been a dream come true. We will definitely be making pasta dishes the way you have shown me. This will be one of the best last nights to remember. (Khaoula, thank you for arranging this special evening and being here on your rest day).
A special mention to Adnan food and beverage captain, you took care of us and ensured we had everything we needed to be more comfortable during the stay. He is an exceptional member of the hotel staff. Adnan is polite, attentive and respectful to all guests.
The hotel staff - from the cleaners, pool staff, servers, door staff etc have done an amazing job to fulfil each of their roles in providing us a clean, relaxed environment and given the highest grade of respect to each guest. We have enjoyed talking to them all and getting to know them.
Management team - We are grateful for all you did for us during our stay and for understanding the situation that accrued during check-in day. You and your team managed to turn things around.
Spa treatments - we would recommend having a Hammam, it has come in second to our favourite spa in Marrakesh. Thank you, to the two lovely ladies Amal and Putu. Followed by a relaxing massage with Dinara and Putu.
Restaurant Tresind - Himanshu elevated our dining experience. The butterfly concept to the presentation of food is incredible done. The violinist gracefully added to the restaurant ambience. Thank you, to the whole team who contributed to making Mr Patel’s bday celebrations even more special.
Overall, we recommend staying at the One and Only Mirage Palace. The views of the beach and sunrise/set are incredible from your balcony. Definitely; book your stay with the afternoon tea as no other hotel has compared to the quality, variety of sandwiches here, alongside the almond scones.
Thank you, for being part of our annual trip to the UAE. We look forward to our next trip here.

Read moreWe visited The Residence late September / early October and what a wonderful place. We’ve been coming to Dubai for nearly 20 years and stayed in a lot of hotels (including O&O Palace and The Palm) and this place tops the lot for service and luxury. We arrived after an early flight and were whisked off to breakfast by Prisca, no sitting around the hotel for hours here waiting for your room to be ready. Prisca and her team are all wonderful, so friendly and Bertina spoke to us most mornings at breakfast making sure everything was ok.||Our room was lovely, only the basic deluxe but had everything we needed, including a milk frother for my daily cappuccino, now that was a first ! We were close to the beach and our host Patrick was very friendly and checked in with us in person most days to make sure everything was fine.||We had a lot of our meals in the Dining Room where a special mention goes to Mr Anas, Jomin, Suzanne, Dia and Mohammed. Apologies to other staff members missed off each of the were so lovely, helpful and very polite and are a credit to the One and Only.||We spent our days at the beach with our own cabana and were regularly given water, fruit, ice cream and even crisps in a cool box. Again here the beach staff were really friendly and nothing too much trouble for them.||We also chatted to the chef several times who was a very nice chap and told us about the new afternoon tea, “chocolate and spice” which we tried and we loved.||We loved The Residence, there was a fabulous breakfast each morning, we had some lovely meals and even went off menu one evening when the chef cooked us a Biryani. We had drinks most evenings in The Library, which is a lovely setting but sadly this area is under used and was a little quiet, perhaps introduce sundowners or a weekly cocktail party as at The Palm which is a nice way to meet other guests.||The grounds are immaculate, everywhere is pristine and a special mention to housekeeping who always did a great job. We also took advantage of the complimentary spa experience and used the gym most days,||We also dined at a few of the other restaurants including Tagine where Mr Anas had arranged for us to meet the chef and discuss what we fancied to eat, this was a great evening.||We chatted to other couples, and many of them return year after year as they loved it too, we are already planning our visit next year to this very...
Read moreOne and Only Hotel - A Stay Marred by Negligence and Deception Our recent stay at the prestigious One and Only Hotel, culminating on May 16th, 2025, was shockingly marred by an incident that has left us not only disappointed but genuinely outraged. What was intended to be a relaxing final day in Dubai turned into a painful experience due to the hotel's apparent negligence and a deeply concerning act of deception. Throughout our week-long stay , my family and I used the SPF 50 sunscreen provided by the hotel at the poolside. We trusted this five-star establishment to offer quality products to ensure our well-being. However, on our final day, this trust was brutally shattered. After applying the provided sunscreen, as we had done every day, we attended a brief aqua class and subsequently spent our time under shade or in the pool, even wearing hats. Despite these , the unthinkable happened: myself, my daughter, and my husband all suffered significant sunburn. The conclusion we have reached is that the SPF 50 cream we believed we were using was nothing of the sort. We strongly suspect it had been replaced with a regular lotion offering no sun protection whatsoever. This is utterly unacceptable. For a hotel of this caliber to provide a product meant to protect its guests, only for it to become the direct cause of harm, is a profound breach of trust and an act of shocking negligence. Our skin has been damaged, causing us considerable discomfort and distress and we even had the hotel nurse giving us treatment. This incident casts a dark shadow over our entire experience at the One and Only. There are further grievances such as : food quality in the restaurants alongside with slow service , the room was not not clean thoroughly and hotel manager avoids any type of dealings with customers. We email the hotel about out experience and the reply received was " we are very sorry". We expected a clear explanation regarding this sun screen substitution, the measures that will be implemented to prevent future occurrences, and a plan for how the hotel intends to rectify this appalling situations and compensate us for the pain and suffering caused by their negligence. These incidents has irrevocably tainted our perception of the One and Only Mirage Hotel, transforming what should have been a luxurious getaway into a distressing memory of deceit and disregard for...
