A wonderful family-friendly hotel right on the beach with spacious rooms, attentive staff, and plenty of dining options. Perfect for relaxing days by the pool or fun beach adventures with the kids!||Stayed with a family of 7 and had an amazing time! We chose the All-Inclusive option, which made everything smooth and stress-free. The staff truly made the experience special, with their warm, attentive service throughout.||Check-in & Room:||Smooth check-in with a minor booking hiccup, but it was quickly resolved. The room was spacious, clean, and regularly restocked with water, shower gel, and other amenities.||Dining:| • Seafield Buffet had a wide variety for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. While the selection was good, many hot dishes were cold, which I didn’t enjoy. However, the egg station, cold meats, and dosa were great. The chefs were fantastic — they offered to make Indian breakfast items like aloo paratha (which we enjoyed a few times) and even prepared meals for the baby in our group.| • Black Goose (sports bar) had a set menu with lots to choose from. We loved the hot, tasty food, large portions, and great cocktails. Special thanks to Michael and his team, especially Payao, for the amazing service.| • Peacock also offered a set menu — it was our favourite restaurant overall. The Chinese food was packed with flavour, and JoJo and his team delivered fantastic service.| • Al Hadiqa served a set Lebanese menu and the food was delicious. Staff were attentive, but sitting outside became uncomfortable after a while despite the fans, just due to the heat.|☀️ We visited during a very hot time of year, so eating outdoors — especially at lunch — could be uncomfortable. If you’re visiting in cooler months, this likely won’t be an issue.||Drinks:||The all-inclusive drinks menu offered plenty of cocktails and spirits to choose from. Our main drinks were spirits with mixers, which suited us well. The pool bar served refreshing cocktails, perfect for the hot weather, and the friendly staff always made sure we were well looked after.||Drinks are served at the bar areas, but guests are asked not to bring alcoholic drinks into the lobby. Even though we saw some guests drinking alcohol there, we were informed it’s not allowed.||Pool & Beach:||The main pool is large, and there’s a separate kids’ pool. Unfortunately, adults were often using the loungers by the kids’ pool, so we weren’t able to sit there with our niece — not really a hotel issue, just something we noticed.|There were plenty of fun poolside activities, and we especially loved the lively pool party!|At Azure Pool Bar, cocktails were excellent (thank you Vishwanath). We had snacks a couple of times, but lunch was too hot — the fans were often taken. It would be great if there was somewhere indoors to enjoy the pool menu.|The poolside toilets were the one real letdown — only one, and not well maintained.|The hotel has private beach access with sunloungers and lifeguards — a beautiful and clean space to unwind.||Kids Care:||Natasha was absolutely amazing — our niece adored her and loved the playroom.||Bars:||& More Bar was perfect for pre-dinner drinks — excellent cocktails and very friendly service. The gentleman who served us kindly gave me his name, but unfortunately, I’ve forgotten it. He was always a pleasure to chat with and quickly learned my favourite drink — a Hendrick’s gin and tonic with a slice of cucumber — making the experience feel personal and welcoming.||Suggestions for Improvement:| • It would be great to have more indoor or shaded dining options by the pool during hot weather, as outdoor lunch seating can get uncomfortable.| • The poolside toilet facilities need better maintenance and more availability — having only one is not enough, especially for families.| • Consider designating loungers by the kids’ pool for families with children to ensure they have a comfortable space.||Special Thanks:||Muela and Siyo at Seafield|Phillip — best coffee in Dubai! — worked in both Seafield and Peacock and was always a pleasure to see|Michael and Payao at Black Goose (sports bar)|JoJo at Peacock|Vishwanath (aka Vishu to me) at the pool bar — always smiling and made amazing cocktails, thank you! (Apologies if I’ve spelt your name wrong!)|Vaishakh at the pool bar|Natasha in Kids Care|And the lovely bartender at & More — thank you all for looking after our family so well!||Final Thoughts:||Sheraton JBR is a warm and welcoming family hotel with lovely staff, great food options, and a beautiful beachside location. With a few small improvements, it could be even better — but overall, we had a fantastic, memorable stay and would...
Read moreThe location of this hotel is fantastic, close to all amenities and perfectly based to be able to walk to JBR, Blue waters island and the marina. We loved that we had an all inclusive base but were able to go out for drinks and meals as and when we pleased and could pop to a local shop very easily for snacks for the kids. The hotel reception, restaurants, corridors and rooms are decorated stunningly. Definitely 5 star! The external pool area and gardens are well maintained but I’m sure there will be plans in the future to update and renovate them to refresh them like the rest of the stunning hotel. For us the breakfast in Seafield was great, fresh and hot, the omelette chef was lovely but I am unsure of his name. The lunch and evening buffet was always only Luke warm so we didn’t eat there as we like hot food. I did mention this and they said they would feed it back and improve but unfortunately we did not want to try it again as so many other nice options out and about. The black goose was incredible, food was so good and such big portions, would have ate there every day! The staff in black goose are all so friendly especially Shahrees, she made the holiday for us and was so welcoming with us as a family but especially our children! There is also a table football which is great entertainment for the kids! It was so nice to escape the heat and sit in a cool air conditioned environment with a cold beer in a glass! The pool snacks were equally great but it would be nice to have somewhere to sit indoors to eat them, like wise the taco shack unfortunately it was just too hot to sit outside to eat them, it would have been nice to be able to go in the oyster bar to eat the snacks in the cool. Hopefully this could be something to be considered in the future an indoor air conditioned space to eat by the pool. The pool bar staff Ansari, Lejesh and moses really made our holiday making sure we were always kept hydrated with nice cool branded drinks! Ashker became a great friend around the pool always assisting us with finding a sunbed, no need to get up early to claim your bed, thanks to him Sasi and Sunil they would always locate you some at any time of day! Ashker has the potential to really progress at this hotel he is such an approachable, respectful man! Dushan the lifeguard made my children’s holiday, he regularly kept them entertained and chatted to them whilst maintaining upmost professionalism and was constantly on his guard ready to protect! Betty the cleaner was a superstar, working such long hours to make sure everywhere in the hotel was immaculate. I wish I could take her home! The pool party was such fun! We all loved it! The kids club was a lovely space but unfortunately a lot of the activities didn’t go ahead because other children weren’t there, not much was done by animation team to encourage people to go, or to join in with pool activities like bingo, maybe come around and chat to the people by the pool a bit more. One thing that really impressed me is my daughter lost her earring, it wasn’t of huge value just £25 we didn’t make anyone aware and went for lunch when we came back to the pool Ashker asked if we had lost it and it had been handed in to lost property, we went up to reception and signed for it and my daughter was very pleased to have it back. I was so impressed with this as I never thought we would get it back. A fantastic hotel with amazing staff who make the whole hotel an amazing experience. I would definitely recommend and...
Read moreThis hotel has great facilities for families wanting an easy Dubai holiday, with a very large outdoor pool and on-site gardens and beach for anyone not wanting to walk too far or get taxis to go to the beach. This is great as you can walk to the beach in your shorts without worrying about covering up! It also has on site restaurants for any tired travellers who don't want to venture out. These all have good food. But a very short walk down the road (even in Summer heat) are lots of cheaper restaurants too (Cheesecake factory etc etc)
The rooms are also nice - I stayed here twice despite getting warned from colleagues that the hotel is very old. I think the rooms are just as nice as any regular Sheraton,
Unfortunately, both times I stayed there I have experienced the same bad service. I am a regular Sheraton guest and am used to the great service usually experienced at Sheraton hotels. This hotel is very different.
The staff are unwilling to go out of their way or away from their normal roles to help guests. And are very rude about not even discussing the matter with guests to make them feel listened to, For example, on asking them to keep a suit bag for me from one week stay to the next (so I didn't need to drag it back to the UK), they refused without explanation. It made me decide to stay elsewhere the week after.
Unfortunately for a 2 week stay in August I decided for the sake of the great facilities to return. Firstly I should explain that on my previous stay I had mentioned that I would technically become a 'Platinum' guest on my next third night with Sheraton. I usually don't care, but working long hours means that a quick snack and drink in the Platinum lounge while finishing off some work away from happy tourists is really helpful. So I asked if based on this they would be willing to give me access for my next stay. They refused and we agreed that I would go out of my way to book 3 nights separately from the rest of my next stay to ensure I became Platinum. Having taken my time to book 2 separate stays, I ask on the 3rd day about my Platinum status. They then informed me that I have to be away from the hotel for at least 24hours for this to kick in. This is based on something they told me incorrectly and if I had known I would have stayed at the Sheraton 4 Points for 3 nights first! They refuse to discuss it with me and make me feel annoying and irrelevant.
Not only this but I had a leak in my room – the ceiling leaking on the floor for the first 2 days. I reported this to reception (surprised the cleaner just kept stepping over it!) And they got it fixed quickly, about an hour later. 3 hours after that I went back to my room to find the disgusting mess they had left. They had left what can only be described as ‘black plug hole gunk’ everywhere. They had put a huge lump of it in my toilet and not even flushed. It was all in bits all over the floor, wash basin etc. It made me feel that my bed and personal belongings were now all dirty. They came to clean my room shortly after, but no ones room should be left in...
