I have to give this 50 stars out of 10! ||NEVER have I seen such hospitality, nothing was too much trouble. Julie and Steve were / are fantastic hosts. I was blown away with the fact they have only taken over 6 months ago. I went for my friends 50th celebrations and it turned out to be one of the best weekends we've ever had. ||They helped me decorate a small area in the bar so I could do some decorations (as a surprise), hid the present of vodka etc. We had prosecco on arrival and a few drinks before heading out it was great fun. ||The rooms are really lovely and don't get me started on the beds and pillows. I didn't want to leave the comfiness has to be believed / experienced. The showers are good and there are air conditioning fans that you can request if needs be. The hotel is well kept and they even have an out of hours contact should you require from either leaving or arriving on an early / late flight from Manchester. They are popular with dance competitions so I would highly recommend for this as well as a personal stay.||Avanti West Coast do a direct service from London to Blackpool North as I experienced this myself when travelling from Preston to Blackpool North.|| The breakfast was really good for a cooked breakfast or just cereal and toast (including gluten free cereal). It's all these little touches that make a HUGE difference to your stay.||Steve even went out and purchased some extra orange and blackcurrant squash so we would have a choice. Julie offered to get a birthday cake for my friend which was just so nice. It's this kind of service that will keep them in business for years to come.||Their location is great literally 10 minutes from everything, about £5 in a a taxi from the station which is Blackpool North for them. Its really easy to get to from Preston.||They have a little outside area that you can get some fresh air when not being boiled alive from 31 degree heat like I was last weekend lol To remedy this you simply go back into the bar area which is nice and chilled and get yourself a little refreshment. ||I even met their dog Rocky. This was a personal request because I am an animal lover and as he lives downstairs with them in their living quarters I was lucky enough to meet him for a few minutes. ||I, for one cannot WAIT to go back and visit. ||I'll see you both...
Read moreAttending the Northern Soul Winter Gardens festival no8 with friends this was my first time staying at Bromptons as I had in the previous two years stayed at another on the same road which is ideal as only minutes away from the venue.||I had read reviews about it and thought it's going to be fine for our needs being in and out all the time for the different day and night time Soul sessions until the early hours of the morning over 3 days.||What sold me to pick this one was in the reviews about the breakfast they put on and as the first one to arrive I found out it was under new ownership and the couple who are running it have only been in for 5 months so still finding their feet and beginning to put their mark on it. The breakfast did not disappoint and set us up properly for each day that we' be energetically Northern Souling on the dancefloors.||I love a full English and there was plenty of it and nothing was too much trouble for them to prep it how you like it. Even going out of their way to get some crumpets for my friend who lives then for breakfast. They showed us around a few of the rooms that they are refurbishing so the standard becomes better than it was previously and you could see that it was progressing. All this takes time and effort to get it how they want it for their future guests and all the time they are just finding their feet.||Our room was comfortable enough for what we needed to get a good rest, showered and changed after each Soul session and again close enough to be nipping back and two to the famous central venue. Little things add up and it was nice to see there was a little fridge and iron, ironing board in the room, perfect for us to get any travel creases out of our apparel. Our stay was reasonably priced and affordable making it a very enjoyable stay. I paint Northern Soul pictures and if I think on will try and send them a print of the winter gardens one I have done if they wanted to frame it and hang in the foyer or one of the rooms making us Soulies feel even more at home when we're visiting the regular events that we're passionate about. We had a great weekend and would stay there...
Read moreAbsolutely lovely stay with Julie and Steve. From the minute we arrived their hospitality was second to none. We arrived with my daughter , 40, and 4 year old grandson looking for a family room. Nothing was too much trouble. A hyper 4 year old was full of questions and very inquisitive about everything but they were lovely with him . Our room was fine, beds fantastically comfy and pillows exceptional. Coffee and tea facilities. Loads of sockets for anybody's electrical tablets/ phones etc. |They catered to everyone of our breakfast needs, even an every changing 4yr old haha. |We couldn't have asked them to be nicer, full of chat and good advice about the area. |We all had superb breakfast each day with the most delicious sausages 😋. |We have said we will look to come back next year for our grandsons next birthday , something of which Julie would love you be able to organise a wee thing for him arriving so that's really lovely. |Thanks for a great stay and, considering you have only been at this a few month, you're doing great and we wish you all the best in...
