Popped in Saturday 6th September, after searching cafes on Google we decided to visit here while on a trip to Blackpool. There wasn't many avaliable tables when we arrived, so it must be a very popular place. We sat down and had a look at the menu deciding what we wanted to eat and my partner went up to order at the till. He made some changes to his breakfast (egg and mushrooms removed) and swapped them for a hashbrown. They were very accommodating to the request. He made them aware of my food allergy (mushrooms). Food came after around 15 minutes, piping hot. I asked the server about my allergen to rule out cross contamination, she wasn't made aware of the allergen by the person that had taken our order.
The food was lovely, good portion sizes for the price. The sausages had a lovely taste to them and the eggs were cooked to perfection. Some of the best ones I've ever had. My partner said the bacon was very good too.
The atmosphere was a little hit and miss, but not everywhere can suit everyone's vibe. At times it was just very, very quiet with no background noise. So the minute we spoke, or someone else did - people would instantly look. Some of the tables are very close together, enabling the table next to us to bump elbows with me a couple of times and the cutlery holders dirty. But other than that, it was...
Read moreAfter being in Blackpool for a week and struggling to find anywhere that does an all day breakfast, we were really getting tired of your bog standard fish and chips or burger bars on the prom, we were craving just some tasty homecooked comfort food when we stumbled across this little beaut! They serve brekkies all day, so I ordered the double breakfast which came with 2 eggs, 2 sausage, 2 bacon, 2 hash browns, mushrooms, tinned tomatoes and a slice of toast, zero complaints whatsoever, all the ingredients was clearly quality produce, none of that blatant cheap rubbish you get from the Wetherspoons and all was cooked to perfection, really wish we’d found this place sooner! lol the staff were really lovely and chatty, the cafe itself is decorated to a clean and modern standard, coordinated and fresh. Other menu items that I would love to return and try is definitely their all day roast dinners that sound delicious and look very reasonably priced. If you’re sick of the seaside junk food you find lurking on every corner of the prom, get yourself to this lovely little cafe for a chilled out atmosphere and delicious food, a definite 5/5...
Read moreThis café is a short walk from the Winter Gardens and behind the Houndshill Shopping Centre, it's situated on the corner of Coronation Street and Adelaide Street. It's a no nonsense café serving good food at very reasonable prices from toasties to jacket potatoes, and roast dinners to breakfasts. I had Scampi, chips and salad and my friend had Gammon, Egg and chips plus two mugs of tea £15.00. Excellent value for money, it was quite busy but the wait for food was minimal. They even do hot puddings including fruit pies and sponge puddings with custard or cream as well as cold desserts including cream cakes, custards and cheesecakes. If you want a good quality hearty meal that's reasonably priced then this is the place to go! Mention this review when you go then they'll know how you found out about the...
