Do not stay here if you have any concerns regarding covid! Unfortunately I tested positive to covid prior to my scheduled stay at Brooklands lodge, I had confirmation of a PCR for documentation, I contacted the lodge on the Sunday, I was due to stay on the Wednesday explaining my situation, there response was as follows,

“ Your cancelation period has ended therefore you cannot cancel for free.

Regarding COVID anyone who is positive poses a threat to the health of the staff and other guests, we do not offer free cancelations or refunds due to sudden change in weather or health conditions.

If you had informed us about testing positive and wanting to cancel during your cancelation period we would have waived the fee.”

They have since charged me the total amount for staying which is £162, but have stated I am not aloud to stay at the premises, I will not be getting a credit or refund. I have never come across any accommodation that does not have a covid policy in place, for a company to charge you for the full amount of your stay and inform you you are not aloud to stay, 4 days out from your arrival completely shocked me. I contacted this company prior to writing this review to explain my disappointment in how they have handled this situation and 100% confirm this was how they wanted to proceed and it was so I just hope this review can inform others of their covid policy which is non existent, and I hope no one else experiences this appalling service,

Definitely would recommend choosing another accommodation with a covid policy in place, this kind of response just encourages people to stay without saying they are covid positive as they will loose there money other wise, very...

Location is brilliant. Close to seafront, shops and restaurants. However we booked three rooms. They had all been cleaned beforehand, basement room my mum stayed in 604 has seriously bad damp. I’ve reported to environmental health. The carpet was soaking wet, pillows damp, towels damp. Absolutely stinking of mould/damp. The receptionist was polite and offered help/room change. Unfortunately we had bad neighbours who snuck a dog in. Partying all night. Dark barking and when we phoned receptionist at 3am they did contact them via phonecall. However I feel they needed to come to the hotel in order to help the situation. The fire alarm then was set off by someone in that room smoking inside.. the alarm was going off for an hour and a half because no one at the hotel had the key to the fire alarm system… so they need to update this! Was overall ok for what we needed. But I would definitely not stay again. Pictures must be years old as none of the rooms look like that. 2 rooms had microwaves. None had fridges. Mould on shower curtain which they did change. Shower heads are disgusting! Only gave one roll of Toilet roll considering we were staying 2 nights in a family room… Hotel is clearly an attraction for drunks and drug smokers, as it stunk of weed most of the time we were inside. And opened my door to a drunk person asleep on the floor outside my room at 830...

Location isn't bad, close to the town, close to the beach, close to everything really and easy to find.. That's the only good points.

Bad points, The car park is tiny, only around 5 spaces available so nowhere near enough for guests and local parking is tricky, the only place to park if you're not 1 of the luck 5 that got a parking spot is pay and display car parks a short walk away and they're extremely expensive.

During our stay the glass shower door dropped off because the screws had rusted away, while we was in bed which made a huge and sudden BANG which really made us jump. Reported it to reception but they couldn't fix it for 24hrs so we had a soaking wet floor for a while.

Room wasn't cleaned during our 3night stay by housekeeping, and also we didn't get any water which is usually complimentary and standard with any hotel.

Beds are cheap and very uncomfortable

Rooms is dated and not particularly clean.

Needless to say I would not...

My boss booked this room for me — I guess he wanted to save some money and test my mental toughness at the same time. 😀 Thanks, but I would’ve preferred a bonus. I don’t want to sound harsh, honestly. But this just isn’t normal. 🙂 The bed wasn’t properly made — just a bare mattress with a thrown-on duvet. The pillow had some pretty suspicious yellow stains, like it’s been through a lot. And the smell… a mix of dampness and nostalgia straight from the late Soviet Union. Very authentic, if you’re into that kind of historical immersion. No hot water. None. Had to take a cold shower. It was refreshing, sure, but I came here to rest, not train for the Arctic Games. I don’t usually write reviews, but this time I just couldn’t stay silent. Wouldn’t recommend. If you value your sleep, sanity, and hygiene — go elsewhere.

You'll need ID, and the payment card to check in, which they will then authorise another £25 for damages! You don't check in here, you have to go find the other hotel. Receptionist was quite polite and helpful. There's no microwaves as advertised. Rooms aren't serviced during longer stays, and not well cleaned generally (though first impressions look nice). It's up the hill from town, so walking back isn't fun, but that's just Bournemouth. Extra coffee etc available for collection at the other hotel. This one isn't manned. Hallway light doesn't work. Heating doesn't work... Slept with 2 jumpers on. No food possible here as no facilities
