A beautiful boutique hotel, stunningly decorated with high spec finish everywhere, from light fittings to mirrors, furniture and bathroom fittings. We were in Room 2 and while it was pretty small, the design was very well thought out so the size of the room didn’t disadvantage. There was plenty of good lighting and mirrors everywhere, maximising the space and bathroom, while compact, was again well thought gut out t and concealed behind a mirrored sliding door. The rooms and the rest of the hotel was literally spotless! Even the array of mirrors were without a single smudge! The breakfast was served in the lounge bar, which has lovely views down to the seafront. With the traditional sash windows open, it was a lovely fresh and bright environment to each the delicious breakfast. Again, here the standard was high with a good choice of fresh teas and coffees and juices and a really good choice on the menu from full English with a high quality edge to smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. All the details on the table made the experience feel high quality and a bit special. The tea cups, the choice of locals conserves, the toast wrapped carefully in a knapkins cover, the cute butter dish...a beautiful breakfast table layout. I only wish our stay was longer than one night so we could have sampled the cocktails in the bar. I would 100% recommend the hotel and will definitely return in the future. The only negative I could pick out was the room was really hot and it was quite a cool evening, but I struggled to sleep as it was quite warm. There is a dyson fan, which helped, but it was quite noisy. Bit of a shame there’s no AC in the rooms. Would’ve been a 5 if a little more space in room and a bit...

This boutique hotel is a true gem in the heart of Brighton, perfectly balancing elegance, comfort, and personalized service. The moment I arrived, the warm and attentive staff made me feel like a valued guest. They went above and beyond to accommodate my needs, offering thoughtful recommendations for local attractions and dining. The room was immaculate and beautifully designed, blending the building’s historic charm with luxurious modern touches. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in, and the attention to detail—like the plush linens and designer toiletries—made it feel like a home away from home. Breakfast was an absolute highlight! The spread was diverse and catered to all tastes, with options for every dietary preference. I particularly enjoyed the fresh pastries and the perfectly brewed coffee, which were the perfect start to my day. The location couldn’t have been better—nestled on a quiet street but just a short walk from Brighton’s iconic pier, the lanes, and other key attractions. It truly offers the best of both worlds: peace and quiet with everything at your fingertips. The lounge bar and pamper room were lovely additions, adding a layer of indulgence to an already delightful experience. I left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and eager to return. If you’re looking for a boutique hotel that excels in every way, I can’t recommend The Square Townhouse enough. It’s perfect for couples, solo travelers, or anyone looking to experience Brighton in style and comfort. I can’t wait to book...
Read moreI recently enjoyed a wonderfully restful weekend at The Square Townhouse while visiting my daughter at Brighton University, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. This boutique hotel is truly one of the most unique and memorable places I’ve stayed. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful—going out of their way to assist when I’d forgotten both my phone charger and umbrella. Their kindness set the tone for a stay that felt genuinely cared for. My room was immaculate, with a supremely comfortable bed dressed in luxurious linens that made for the best night’s sleep I’ve had in ages. Waking up to the sight of waves from my bed while sipping morning tea was pure bliss. But the real showstopper? Breakfast. It was nothing short of outstanding—especially the reinvented eggs Florentine, which were a delicious and creative twist on a classic. Worth a visit for the breakfast alone! Also within walking distance of all that Brighton has to offer! I...
