The Edwardene — Hotel in Great Britain

It’s been a while since our last visit to the Edwardene. But we were happy to return & find that all of the positive aspects were reassuringly still in place. The well maintained traditional decor & comfortable furnishings helped make us feel at home again for our short break. The breakfast offering was tasty, with quality produce & cooked to perfection. In addition to the full breakfast, we also tried the eggs benedict which also hit the mark. ||Our room, the Osprey & its en-suite facilities were ideal & the level of cleanliness was spot on. With the additional benefits of quality toiletries & generous tea & coffee offering. The king size bed configuration was super comfortable & the view of the hills from the beautiful bay window, were an added bonus.||The Edwardene is ideally located in the heart of Keswick with just a short walk to the town square, bars, restaurants & shops. We found no problem parking on street. ||We have to say the staff both front of house & in & out of the kitchen were lovely, engaging polite and efficient. Smiles all round 😃 Which makes all the difference & adds colour to your day. ||Quite clearly, the owner Lucy is still working very hard to offer a quality guest house experience with some additional nice touches for your walking days , like the flask top ups, packed lunches etc.||Thank you for making our stay so comfortable & enjoyable. Lucy and dan thats a good start, my last minute booking for christmas 2023 good timing on both of our side due to deciding to open for crimbo and me wanting to go where my heart fills every time and without hesitation i made the right choice ticked the box for christmas festive package felt i didnt want to miss out on munchies and what a surprise food/drink and company(other guests included). The hosts could not have done any better if fact to say a little too much but will take that every time all rooms which i visited including bedroom(teal for 1) were top class and given the name edwardene it has some lovely furniture and decor to take you back to quality while having all the mods i may waffle a bit and make no sense, im sure im going back there soon without doubt it will be my 1st port of call and hopefully christmas times will be a...

A great adult only guest house. Our room was spacious and airy with everything you need for a short stay. Free wifi, plenty of tea, coffee, water etc. in room which was topped up each day. The bed was large and so comfortable making for a great nights sleep. Quiet area but less than 5 minutes walk from the market square and all the bars, restaurants and shops. A few minutes walk from the bus station making it an ideal base to explore the lakes from by bus.|The staff were always available and very happy to assist you with anything. |Breakfast amazing.
