I always try to leave positive reviews and never negative ones as usually a negative experience is a one-off moment and not consistent with the place I am reviewing, but this hotel certainly deserves less than one star from the minute you walk in with blood stains on the doorstep that haven't been cleaned up properly and the smashed window sneakily concealed by a no smoking sign. The experience just goes downhill from there. The reception desk and the staff members behind it were like nothing I've ever experienced before at any hotel, you have to see it to believe and I have added photos rather than say anything too negative. We were given a double room downstairs in the basement area which stank of rising damp. The bathroom not only didn't have a lock on the door. It didn't have door handles. Just a hole where the handles used to be, and there was mold on the bathroom walls. The shower was also leaking so badly. You could only stand in half of it or it would burn your feet from the boiling water pouring out of the Taps. In the bedroom area there was a skylight that was covered in mould. You couldn't open it and on the outside it was overgrown with weeds, there was a blind to pull down away from the window, The blind had mould on it and also paint stains strangely enough. There was paint peeling off the walls by the bed. And the walls were stained with dirt The bed was unbelievably uncomfortable and we actually slept on top of the quilt because we were too concerned to take a look at what was underneath. We booked a double room but we're only given one bath towel to share. Also we were there for a couple of nights but only giving enough milk for one cup of tea or coffee and no cleaner came and topped anything up during the day or left us an extra towel. There was no fridge in the room in case we had purchased our own milk to use. The television had no remote and the buttons on the back where we could have changed channels manually were missing. So there was no option to even search for a channel as nothing was tuned in on the TV. I must confess I didn't actually complain to the reception staff as when I went to, there was another family complaining about the state of their room and the lack of care he was showing them showed me it was quite pointless to even make the effort, so I will be complaining to hotel com instead and hopefully get some result from them. Although the hotel was a fantastic price, for what we experienced, it was way overpriced for the condition of the property and its amenities. To top it all, outside the hotel I asked the other complaining family what they were experiencing, and as if a comedy sketch moment happened, another hotel guest (who I am guessing, without stereotyping, is one of the refugees that are coming across on the boats to the UK as they seem to be everywhere) cheerfully walked past us and into the hotel holding a dead pigeon saying he had caught his dinner for the evening. Would I recommend staying here? If you really don't care and just want a bed for the night then it's cheap and cheerful. But if you have any self-respect if it wasn't the for the fact I was only there for a couple of nights I would definitely suggest reconsidering your options and decisions.

Regrettable!!! I understand that paying one star hotel I should also expect a one star quality, one star service etc. But, this hotel was a total hell. One star is too good to be given to the hotel. I stayed at this hotel for one night, my big mistake I did not carefully read other people's review about this hotel before booking a room. After this experience, I totally agree with the negative reviews about Corbigoe hotel. After a long journey I arrived at the hotel and directly checked in. Nothing in my mind rather than taking a good rest for my next day activity. I was given a room in the basement. When I opened the room, I immediately smell a damp, wet rug. But, I thought it was because the hotel's old rug and no air circulation. I tried to be positive, I open the window and let air circulated. It worked a bit. Later I found a big wet mark under the table/wardrobe. I tried to accept this as I was so tired and already put my stuffs in the room (no lift at this hotel only a narrow stair to the basement). At midnight, I woke up because water dripped on my feet. Top of the wardrobe and the table were full of water. I immediately went to upstair to the front office but no staff. I ring the front bell until the staff came up, I told him there is a big leak in my room. The hotel's front desk staff confirmed the leaking came from a top floor room. Then, I requested to the staff for a new room because I would not be able to sleep in that room again. The staff said all rooms were full booked. He simply replied cannot do anything. I keep insisted to move to other room. He said he could not help. He asked whether I booked the room online or not. Because I booked online through A**** (an online hotel booking website), just cancelled, and tried to get a refund because he couldnot do anything. I was so upset. I replied it is doesnt solve the problem. After waiting for about one hour, I was given a key to a new room, again in the basement, next to the previous one. The room was a larger room, better rug but the room was also smell. Water dripped down on the walls but it was not as bad as the previous room. The pillows were as thin as a book. I requested better pillows and the staff could only find pillows from the previous room. I told the staff that I only want to sleep now and I even did not mind to personally prepare my bed. Then I slept until I suddenly woke up at around 4 a.m. I felt my whole body was itchy. I turned on lights, checked bed cover, and I found a number of bedbugs crawling on the bed cover and wall. It was horrible!! I took some pictures of these tiny annoying bugs. I did not sleep after this. So stressful and exhausted staying at this place!!!!

horrible, it just shouldn't be listed. I made my entire vacation trip through Europe choosing accommodation through Agoda, and other accommodation platforms, my accommodation costs during my trip were around 50 euros per night, I was in incredible places in the best tourist spots in Europe, with the exception of London. I made my reservation and first tried to contact them before arriving at the hotel, they simply do not respond to emails. The accommodation is described as having an elevator, speaking Portuguese, having food, cleaning the room, a non-smoking environment, everything is a lie. After a long wait when leaving the airport and moving to the hotel, hoping to arrive to relax, it was not possible. they simply accommodated me in a basement, and the attendants did not solve any problems. There was no hot water for a shower when I arrived, I had to carry my bags up a tight and steep staircase, saying that there was an elevator. there was only a small amount of soap and half a roll of toilet paper and there was no blanket, in the middle of the European winter. the heater doesn't work either, the windows don't seal well and the cold wind enters and comes straight on the bed that is below the window. I went to ask the attendant to check the issue of hot water and the lack of a blanket. he said he would ask the caretaker and maid to check on it the next day, and provided me with some extra sheets to keep warm at night. the bed looks like a slime, it has no foam, only springs and very soft. when one person moves the other ends up rolling in the direction of the springs. the floor is covered with a carpet that is all irregular underneath, and has several burnt cigarette marks. the smoke detector has clearly been vandalized, and the situation of the walls and ceiling is mixed between marks of dirt and mold. the place to store clothes/bags is all damaged. The other day the hot water problem was solved, but there was no room cleaning service and they didn't provide me with the blanket either. At night I went to ask the new attendant about the blanket that had been promised the night before, and he said that they simply did not provide blankets. I also asked for another soap and another roll of toilet paper, which had already run out, he said only the other day. but I was about to leave. that is, I was only provided with an amenities soap for two people for two nights and a half roll of toilet paper. in the end, in the description it says that they reserve the bags after check out for 3 GBP, they charged me 5 per bag and still early. They even charged me for paying with my card. They don't offer any comfort, they don't solve the guests' problems, they simply don't care, since we already paid and they don't offer a refund. In summary, I felt more comfortable "resting" at Victoria Station than at the hotel I booked. I only went there because I had already paid, just to try to sleep and try to take a shower. but there is no comfort. it just shouldn't be listed. I think it would be better to spend the night in jail. at least he would have a blanket and hot...
