Dining at Pimlico Thai was a refreshing reminder of how reasonable portion sizes can be outside the U.S. For the first time in a long while, I cleaned my plate completely—and it felt satisfying rather than overwhelming. The ambiance was enhanced by the pleasant sound of the staff speaking Thai, adding an authentic and welcoming touch to the experience. The food itself was equally impressive, with flavors that truly stood out. I ordered the Penang curry, and it was fantastic. The curry had an excellent depth of flavor, thick, rich, and perfectly balanced. One small caution: watch out for the red peppers. While some are mild red bell peppers, others are sneaky chili peppers that pack a punch! My wife ordered the dumpling soup, which she absolutely loved. The filling was tender and juicy, and the broth was warm, comforting, and flavorful, making it a dish she’d eagerly order again. As for the rice, it was a bit of a mixed bag. They offer sticky rice, which is always a nice option, but their jasmine rice was underwhelming—it lacked the fragrance you’d typically expect from a good jasmine rice. If you’re looking for authentic Thai food with thoughtful preparation and satisfying portions, Pimlico Thai is a great choice. Despite a small miss with the jasmine rice, the overall experience was excellent, and I’d gladly return for another flavorful meal.

In came to this establishment quite wary as I have never had Thai food. The atmosphere when I walked in was lively and elegant, nothing like I had seen before. The kind server greeted me with a beaming smile which brightened my day and the aroma of delicious spices lit up my appetite for the food. As I took my seat I perfectly perched into the chair as if it was home sweet home, I then looked at the menu and was overwhelmed with many options but we decided on the Thai iced tea, the skewers, the noodles and the laksa. Everything was magnificent and I will be coming back again.

Found refuge in here on a wet Tuesday evening. Arrived somewhat frustrated from a torrid delay waiting to be served in the pub opposite. Anyway, the food was hot and plentiful but utterly joyless and bland. Does the chef taste the food? Almost no recognisable flavours despite the food being pretty straightforward. Maybe I picked an off night??? The place was busy and the team were quite efficient. What’s with the ridiculous telephone blasting out near the tables?? Move it to the reception …Finally, to add insult to the whole debacle, my table of 1 was charged a 12.5% service charge. Seriously! Don’t bother coming here until they buck up...

I can't recommend Pimlico Thai Food highly enough! The experience was nothing short of amazing, with dishes that delivered incredible flavour and fantastic value for money.

I had the Laska, which was rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced. Every spoonful was a delight, packed with authentic Thai spices and generous portions. My partner opted for the Thai Green Curry, which was equally divine—creamy, fragrant, and with just the right level of heat.

The portions were generous, the service warm and friendly, and the overall experience left us looking forward to our next visit. If you're in Pimlico and love Thai cuisine, this is a...
