This hotel is absolutely disgusting. When we got to the “hotel”, we truly should’ve walked away. We paid online but didn’t have service at the time of check in to prove we had paid so the receptionist had us pay a second time. Stupidly, we paid it. The receptionist also took a picture of my passport with his personal phone which is unacceptable and weird. As soon as we got up to the room, we got on the WiFi using the password on the key card and then went downstairs to show proof and ask for the refund. The guy kept telling us that he couldn’t do it as he needs a manager to do it and the manager couldn’t be there because he lived far but “not to worry” because I’ll have my refund at 8am the following day. We kept telling him no and that we needed our refund right then and there until finally he did it. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get a refund on the payment we made online. We went back upstairs trying to convince ourselves it was fine. It was not. We pulled back the sheets and the bed was horrendous. There was hair, stains, and dirt marks on the bedsheets. When we asked for a change of sheets and duvet covers, he gave us a lazily folded fitted sheet and told us there were no duvet covers as they were all in the wash. at that point we just knew we were getting the hell outta there. When we told him we were just gunna leave he just walked out and went back downstairs. As if he couldn’t imagine why. The room was the size of a closet, only fitting the bed, no windows and the air conditioner didn’t work which was also grimy and gross. Not sure the last time the filter was changed. We didn’t stay the 3 nights we paid for online ($400) and cut our losses. Don’t stay here. It’s ghetto, grimy, and gross. The front door to the building doesn’t even close and is taped. The couch in the “reception” is dirty and the reception area isn’t welcoming at all. Save your money or spend more on a nicer place.

Shocking hotel. The pictures don’t even show how bad this hotel is. I booked a 3-night stay in London based on the reviews I saw on Booking.com. When we got to the hotel there was nobody at the reception until a guy came and told us that we were a bit earlier for check-in. It was past 12:30pm. The guy at reception told us we have been upgraded to a room with a balcony and asked us to come back in a hour as the room wasn’t ready. We came back, he checked us in and we got to our room. We were very disappointed with the size of the room and the amenities offered by this place. We would not expect the room size to be massive but the bed was against the wall, the walls were all dirty, the telly didn’t work properly and the bathroom was too small that you would be restrained between the toilet bowl and the two walls beside. Shower had a broken glass door with a mouldy curtain and the balcony, ah the balcony was not even a balcony, it was more like a roof you step in from the door that opened and give you views of wheelie bins of the other buildings around. We went off and came back and informed the other guy at reception that we weren’t happy and he showed us two other rooms but at that stage we had made our decision not to stay. We told him that they could charge us for the first night and refund the other two. He was very polite and in fairness helped us to cancel and refund the other two nights. I think his gesture and the location of the accommodation were the only positive things to say about it. There was another couple whose telly wasn’t working that we met the morning after at a pub and they told us they couldn’t stay either because of the so many mistakes and bad things they encountered at that place as well. We ended up booking another accommodation two blocks away from this place which really surprised us and made ourselves and our holiday to be worth it

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The hotel was under construction and should not be open. When I arrived at the hotel, the construction worker said no one that worked there was in the hotel. The lobby was full of suitcases and the door was wide open. Some of the stairs to my room were unfinished ply wood. The door to my room had one splotchy coat of white paint on it and the room number was written in sharpie. The bed was made of lumber. The big large window in the room was open and would not close. No screen in the window and the manager said there was nothing that could be done. The door didn’t lock and a contractor had to come fix it. The manager offered me another room and sent me up to look at it alone and the window in that room was down even more so I kept the original room. No garbage can, television, or phone in the room as mentioned in the room description. Very loud construction. The bathroom was the size of a closet. Toilet seat was purposely put on crooked so that both knees didn’t hit the sink when you used it. Outside the bathroom door was a kitchen cupboard knob and on the inside was a folded piece of sand paper screwed to the door. I woke up the first night to a spider crawling on the bed and then seen more outside my door the next day. One morning the door wouldn’t lock and the evening staff that was sleeping on the couch in the lobby when I went down said there was nothing he could do. I said it needed to be fixed by the time I got back as I didn’t want my belongings in an unlocked room to begin with and I said no housekeeping in my room that day (there was no do not disturb signs to use). He did not listen as housekeeping had been in my room when I returned and the manager had no idea what I was talking about when I seen him in the evening. Staff don’t communicate with each other at all it seems. Overpriced “hotel”. Not worth it at all.

I would give the Exhibition Court Hotel 4, 25 Collingham pl, Earl's Court, London, SW5 0QF a 0 if I could!! My husband and I have stayed at several other hotels in the Earl's Court area with nothing but a good expierence and great time. We decided to try the Exhibition Court and NEVER AGAIN! I decided to go in to enquire about room pricing and vacancy, this was June 29th, 2019. The man on the desk said they did have vacancy for the night and gave me two options of a single room at £99 and a double at £200. I said the room was for my husband and I so the double would be what were looking for, English was not his first language so I confirmed twice with him the price at £200 to avoid any confusion and said I would be right back as my husband was just outside and I had to go meet him. When we came back literally 5 minutes later to take the room and check in the man then said the room was £250 for the night and insisted I was wrong and he had said it was £250 all along after I confirmed not once but TWICE with him the agreed amount of £200. (To avoid an issue like this!) This should have been a massive red flag but after us being tired from travel all we wanted to do was relax and rest so we decided to take the room anyway (at £250).

So we get into our room looking forward to fluffy pillows and maybe the likes of a nice shower perhaps?? No no, low and behold, the bathroom being far from perfect ... We had to wait on that as the small stand up showers' drain was completely clogged up so water would fill right up and then overflow onto the floor leaving the pleasentries of other people's hair and funk milling about in there. The hand held shower head was broken as well, it wouldn't stay on the wall but just fall down on the floor. Finally, the toilet seat was completely broken and wobbling all over the place half way across the bathroom ... I know, fantastic! by this time it was much later in the evening. No problem, we figured just pop down to the desk and let the clerk know. Another man whose English was worse then the earlier man. My husband explained the issues at hand, clerk said he can fix them no problem, we agreed but as we were just heading out to grab some food we told him to please wait until we got back before going into our room as we would only be gone a short time (under 30 mins) Both my husband and I said it 3 times to him to make sure he understood not to enter our room until we were back. We of course don't want anyone in our room while we are not there as my husband's personal belongings were left there and all my clothing and personal items were laid out on the bed.

We return back from our meal, look for the clerk but he wasnt on the desk. Returning to our room to find the lights all turned off, the toilet and shower clog fixed, my shower items all moved around, so obviously the clerk had gone into our room while we were gone which is completely unacceptable for obvious reasons! We had a few personal items left out as well as £60 which cannot be accounted for now. However, what we can prove and what actually happened could be two different things and were not in a position to outright accuse someone of stealing without proper evidence or proof and we are not that type of people. However, all I can say is that we know what we left in the room and what we didn't. If the clerk would have listened to us and not entered our room without permission this could all have be avoided.

We are unsure what to do at this point weather to report it to police or not or what our rights are in a situation like this? Maybe Google can help!?

I do hope this review helps others when considering this hotel for their stay. We will not...

Don't really know where to start.. We booked for 2 nights and when we arrived we were told we would have to change rooms after the first night as 'we checked in at an awkward time' (4pm). Staff just seemed rude and like they didn't care the whole time.

The hallways were dirty and smelt like damp, there was also no lift, so getting our luggage to the top floor was hard work as we had so much with us.

We then arrived at our room, to find it had no windows, and the room was about three metres wide (bed and bathroom included). There were no tea and coffee making facilities in our room, but when you book, it states there will be and when we asked about a kettle we were told we couldn't have one in our room. There was also no wardrobe to hang anything up, and basically no room to move, unless one of us was sat on the bed!

We were also told the rooms were 'sound proof', however, during the night, we heard every single noise that came from the rooms next to us. People were also arriving during the early hours, shouting, and turning the automatic lights on in the hallway several times during the night. The noise from the showers in the other rooms are also extremely loud! (If you're a light sleeper, you'll get no sleep staying here!)

We then changed rooms, and to be fair, the second room was alot bigger, and had a window. However, we still had a bad nights sleep due to the noise and how thin the walls were! We encountered at least 2 other guests complaining to the staff about wanting their money back, as the rooms were so dirty that they couldn't stay the night. (The staff refused and told the guests to call the police if they weren't happy)

I've never complained about a hotel we've stayed in before, but this one was so bad, I couldn't not say anything!

(Only good thing, is that we stayed while the weather was around 30 degrees, and they do have air conditioning. It's also close to Earl's...
