Huddle House — Restaurant in Adel

No stars I get being understaffed and overwhelmed but if you can't keep a good attitude during this close the doors, our server was the nastiest rudest person she gave attitude from the time we sat then told us about the limited menu do to short staffing and the cook couldn't handle more I asked for a salad she was asking me if I would like that in place of my fries I told her no I would like it on the side she said no she could not do that because of a limited menu. Then I watched her serve us plates that had been in her warmer that had been there since we sat so service was horrible food was cold and old we decided after not touching anything we were going to leave and was told to leave or they were going to call the cops after complaining and did I mention the salad she said she could not sell to me due to limited menu was giving to 2 other customers one was Togo. We went to leave and were told that they were going to call the cops if we did not pay so We waited for the cops because that is their right just as much as it is my right to be treated badly and settle for horrible food. Visited this location on the way back from visiting family. Sign on the window said they’re open between 10a and 2p ... went inside at 1:15. There were 3 employees working. The waitress glared at the clock and sighed audibly and when she handed us our menus she said we would have to work with her because she needed to clean up for closing. (If we hadn’t been so hungry we probably would’ve left after the way the waitress reacted when we walked in.) And the bathroom was a disaster. On the plus side she suggested an item from the $5 deal selection for my kids ... chicken tender toaster special instead of chicken tender kids meal and saved us a little money. The food my 3 family members ordered came out before mine because my tater tots weren’t ready. I didn’t understand why the rest of the food couldn’t have been brought to me. We left before 2. We're the only ones here and it's been almost 15 minutes and they are now just putting our order in. They said our server was in the "bathroom" and the cook dropped the "f" bomb 5 times already. (Yes iv been counting). Apparently he's training a new cook which just so happens to be the one who took our order and brought our drinks to the table. Our actual server hasn't even been to our table to introduce herself yet. As a first time guest in your establishment I can already say I won't be coming back...almost a half hour later we are now getting our food and of course my food is wrong. I had them take it off the bill. I asked for the sauce on the side and it was put on the actual food. Upper management should really come in and see how this location is being ran. It's definitely not a good look for this...
