I really want to enjoy this cute and cozy bar, but the insufferable and RUDE bartenders really dull the experience. Last night I went to the bar and asked for a non-alcoholic drink, and was interrogated with multiple questions like "why are you here if you're not drinking alcohol?" and "who drinks something like that?". This went on for about five minutes until they left me alone. Criticizing my non-alcoholic drink order went on for far too long. We felt uncomfortable and ultimately ended up leaving without ever getting properly served. I'm sure the bartender intended for the encounter to be a joke, but repeatedly asking someone why they aren't drinking alcohol is EXTREMELY unprofessional. I am here to spend money and if I want a non-alcoholic drink, I don't want to be questioned, "why?". It is not the bartender’s business to ask why a patron is ordering a non-alcoholic drink. A bar should not be discouraging designated drivers or other reasons that a customer may be choosing to order a mock-tail. I went to Anodyne instead and was served my order quickly and with no questions asked. I have had similar unpleasant experiences at Bar Uno with a different bartender, and I would appreciate if the staff received some training on polite customer service. I want to patronize our local establishments and really hope that this otherwise nice bar levels up with their customer...
Read moreAs regular patrons of Bar Uno, my wife and I cannot recommend this establishment enough. From the expertly crafted cocktails to the warm and welcoming atmosphere, it is truly a gem in the city. And speaking of cocktails, their old fashioned is simply the best in town. The bartenders are knowledgeable and always willing to make a recommendation based on your personal taste. The menu is also noteworthy, with a great selection of small plates and entrees that are as delicious as they are visually stunning. But what really sets Bar Uno apart is the impeccable service. The staff is attentive without being overbearing, and they always make us feel right at home. It's clear that they take pride in what they do and are passionate about providing a memorable experience for their customers. We'll continue to visit Bar Uno for...
Read moreThe bartender made me extremely uncomfortable. (Young man with a mustache and tattoos) I went in to get a drink and asked for a light beer and a double Jameson. He told me he would only give me a single I kindly asked if that was a New Mexico law (I am not from the area just visiting) he told me “no I won’t give 3 drinks to someone at once” I replied saying “oh ok… I’ve never come across an issue like that before, it’s always my drink order” he ignored my response I asked to close out and he took my card, then threw my card and receipt back at my aggressively. I was extremely uncomfortable at this point. I left as soon as I finished my beer. Truly was the most uncomfortable experience I’ve been had at a bar. Ever. There was nothing acceptable about...
