A couple of months ago I decided to purchase a dresser and chest from here. Was told it would be available for pickup in 2 weeks ( the same timeframe that they give every single time that they donât have the item or items in the warehouse). Understandably since this wasnât my first purchase from here. I have purchased 4 couches, 1 recliner, 2 king size mattresses, 1 twin size mattress, 1 full size mattress all with box springs, one night stand, 1 dresser with mirror and 1 full size bed frame. Obviously I have spent a good amount of money here and all of my purchases have been made with Kevin (sales associate) since he was always so kind (but once thereâs an issue or complaint that quickly changes and you see the true side of a person). Well 2 weeks went by and I called to get the status of when I could pick up my furniture. I was told it would be available in a week. A week goes by I called again and now was told they have nobody to build the furniture so now it will be another week. I called again the week after and now I was told it would be 2 weeks. I waited the 2 weeks and was told it was in its way to Albuquerque. 2 weeks came and I called again and was told there was no timeframe as to when I would get my furniture. I requested a refund because at this point I was mot putting up with anymore of their lies and games. I spoke to a manager and she advised me that the furniture that I ordered and paid for was there, also that it belonged to someone else who ordered it just a week ago but that I could have it and they now could wait for theirs to be made and I had until the end of the day to go pick it up and made sure to mention that I was lucky that I was even able to afford furniture from this store (like if my previous purchases of over $10k made me look poor to her or something and it was already 1pm and I live 3 hours away). So I rushed to go for my furniture. As soon as we got home we unboxed the chest and immediately saw that it was damaged, the material was not the same as what they had on display (cheap material) and the drawers were already falling apart. I immediately called the store and asked to speak to a manager. I was told there was no manager so I asked to speak to Kevin. He happily got on the phone but as soon as I told him that I had a complaint about the furniture his attitude changed negatively (I guess he figured this call wouldnât bring him any commission) and without saying anything he passed the phone to someone else who was kind enough to get me a manager because suddenly there was one available.. I was given until the next morning to bring back the furniture if I wanted a refund (their rule is a customer has 24 hours to report anything wrong with the furniture, NOT less). So the next morning here I am rushing back making that 3 hour drive to return the furniture. I get there and walked in and as soon as Kevin saw me he practically ran away into the mall area to avoid me but when I was there at other times he was practically in my back pocket trying to earn that commission. I âhadâ to meet with the manager before my money could get put back to my card and of course no apology about anything but just wanted to see if I wanted to purchase a different dresser and chest⌠The audacity⌠I made it clear that I just wanted my money back and will no longer be giving them my business. So after waiting 2 months for furniture and being lied to several times not once did a person out of that place apologize or try to make things right.. Never again will they have...
Read moreDo not. I repeat. Do not buy furniture from this place or company. They repeatedly will sell you items they don't have in stock. They will claim they can get them to you, though. They will give you a false time frame for the item to arrive. They will then tell you its sold out at the warehouse after the fact. They will tell you they got one from wherever it's made, and it's on a ship container coming to California. They will give you a new fake time frame. They will them say it's in the warehouse in California and coming to you in a new false timeframe. You will call month after month, and when they finally say they have it, you will finally schedule to pick it up. Mind you, they never called. You had to call month after month. They will then say it's in the system but can't be found at the warehouse. Did this happen to me? Yes. How dumb am I? They did it twice to me. Yes, twice on 2 separate orders. Same story, too. Oh, it gets worse. The second time was on a bedroom set. Which means I have an incomplete set at home. Missing a nightstand and a chest. And now they can't complete my bedroom set, and I can't return the half I do have. Who wants half a bedroom set? If this happened to me (someone who has spent over 20k with this company) It will most certainly happen to you. You've been warned. P.S. the fact that the owners / managers make the ladies working the counter there make the calls to inform customers and apologize to angry and disappointed people makes it so much worse. You have management. Have the guts to make the calls yourselves. Shame on you. P.S.S. I believe there was a case against your company by the NM state attorney for deceiving customers like this regularly. I'll be calling them next. Seriously, you clearly have a habit of doing this. Stop scamming people. Just sell what you actually have. How...
Read moreSuper disappointed that I have to leave this review. First off, five stars to Jim and Joe, who helped me in purchasing my new couch and loveseat. They were phenomenal. It was after the fact that this review is for. We spent about $2200 total, including the price for delivery. Delivery was also done well, they two men that came where efficient and fast, but they clearly missed a huge fault in the couch. After it was delivered the next day, I went to adjust the couch myself, to bring it a litter closer to the TV, when I noticed it was ripping my floor as I went along. I stopped and flipped up the coach, and there was a nail sticking out of the bottom. It shouldâve had a cap over it I believe but that was missing. I took pictures right away and sent them to The Furniture City damage email, and was told they are not liable. I understand that if the couch is bumped into a wall or something is accidentally knocked over, that would not be liable, but they left a whole nail sticking out of the bottom foot stand, and it ripped my vinyl flooring. I rent, so you can bet they will take my whole security deposit to repair that. I am absolutely appalled that a mistake like that was able to make it out their doors, and even more appalled at the short responses simply claiming they are not liable. My husband is pretty handy and was able to repair the bottom of the couch himself, which Iâm sure theyâll use that as a way to say their wasnât a problem to begin with, but the rip in my floor is going to require a company come repair it, and Iâve already been told it will not be cheap. Disappointed...
