DXL Big + Tall — Local services in Albuquerque

Will never return to DXL - for years I bought all my cloths from this company but no more ! About a month ago I purchased a pair of trousers to replace one of several I'd previously bought . I hesitated to buy as my old pair are way to baggy for my legs . The salesperson assured for an alteration fee the pants would be a better fit , so I asked if they would alter my existing pair as well . I made the purchase for the new pants and left both to be fitted . Both pants were the identical size and brand purchased at DXL ! One week later I returned to pick up two supposedly altered pants only to find the pants just purchased done correctly , but the other pair untouched except for the length. Figuring error , I explained I had to leave for a trip but would return afterwards to have the pants corrected . Upon my return , I was curtly told my older pair would have to be 'rebuilt' for a much greater charge than I was initially told ! Two identical pants both purchased from DXL - two alteration charges - one pair altered one not ! One curt , obstinate , insulting salesperson obviously following his managers instructions . No , I won't be back but I will definitely be sharing the above with other friends and anyone who will listen - somehow I doubt...

I was in need of clothing for a funeral more. I had just lost more than 35 lbs. So, my wardrobe was useless, but I was still in need of "big and tall".

We happened to have other business in the Cottonwood mall area. I tried brand stores that had provided my needs before in NY, NJ and FL, like Kohls and Men's Warehouse. They proved utterly useless.

I knew of DXL as the successor of Casual Male, a brand I frequented often. So, we trekked east to Uptown and DXL.

The staff, or specifically Jose Villicana, was helpful. He measured me and guided me to the right sizes (since I was unsure of my new status). Jose worked with my lovely lady to get me clothes that fit my idiom.

I received a $20 off my next purchase coupon in the store and a $15 gift card in my email.

I was incredibly impressed. This store will see my shadow often in the future.

The only downside was that the selection appeared limited. Only certain sizes in some interesting styles, so a step down from getting a full-throated 5 rating.

If you are a larger man, give the store a look. ...

This visit was unlike any other. Walked in and was not greeted like usual. Two young men were chatting, ok, too busy to greet customers coming in. Walked over to the shoe area and noticed trash, clothing and dead bugs on the floor. Found the shoes my husband wanted. Did not receive any customer service. Went up to pay and was finally acknowledged. Asked about golf shirts and if any where on sale. Was told no, they are jacking up the prices because of Father’s Day, no sales but we could check out the clearance section across from the socks. We walked over there and again, trash, clothing and dead bugs on floor. It was a disappointing visit to say the least. I’ve never seen it so dirty and unorganized. To be one of the few stores for big and tall men, I am reluctant to go back. Walking into your store this weekend was like walking into Walmart, you could tell no one cared...
