Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Logan Township

As a teen growing up, I worked for Papa John's and was trained by corporate Papa John's, on exactly how to make Papa John's food. This however, is nowhere near Papa John's Quality. I have tried this location on 3 different occasions to make 100% Certain, that it was not a fluke. It was not a fluke. If you want food that is kinda like Papa John's, ( Semi Cooked, Same shape, Comes in a box that says " Papa John's ", somewhat okay tasting with a tint of some kind of cleaning solution. Then yeah, this is your store.

If you want Actual Papa John's, try a different location. Honestly, this is nowhere near as good as it should be. The cheese should be evenly cooked ( not still cubed / Oven not set high enough for current volume of sales ). The sauce should be evenly distributed across the entire pizza ( Not blobs here and there). The dough should be even ( Not flat thin spots / thick spots ). The pizza should have a bite of topping on every slice of pizza ( Not some hear and some there ). The Crust should be even and round ( Not bubbled or thick in some places and thin in others). There should be no Burnt Cheese on the crust ( Looks like Black hairs ). All pizza's should be a perfect circle ( Not FOOTBALL shaped ).

Anyway, the above is only a slim amount of Papa John's standards. There is also proofing of the dough, proper temperatures in the walk in, etc...

This Papa John's, Does not Taste like the Quality that Papa John's was founded on. There is a reason why Papa John's grew dramatically in the United States. However, you will not find it here.

Sad, Domino's in the Martins Plaza, is actually far better then this Papa John's. Yup, FAR BETTER and Consistent Quality! I gave that domino's 5 stars, simply because out of 100+ orders, only 1 was not up to par. Yet, that 1 was still better then this latest experience at this Papa John's.

The worse part. I actually LOVE Papa John's and Prefer it over Domino's. However, for this area of central PA. Domino's, is the clear winner as it seems that this Papa John's, CAN NOT live up to the Papa John's Quality...

If I could give a 0 or negative stars I would but I had to give at least one star to leave a comment. Do not buy anything from this place, order from the one on the other side of town. It was my son's birthday weekend, we ordered online together so he could get it just the way he wanted. We waited about 45 minutes for the pizza to arrive even after I had given a 5 dollar tip during online checkout. Keep in mind this establishment is only about a mile from my house... After signing the slip and walking in my house, I put down the box, opened it up and saw this mess (photo attached). How does this even happen, unless it was dropped? The pizza was smashed all to one side and most of the cheese and toppings were stuck to the lid.

I called the store to complain and had to wait 10 minutes on hold to talk to a manager. Once she answered the phone, I could already tell she was very agitated before I even explained my situation. The only thing she said after my brief explanation for the call was "I'll have the pizza remade but it is going to be over an hour till you get it." Never offered a refund never offered in store pick up for a faster time frame, she did however offer store credit on my next order but after this I will never be back. I called corporate and talked to a manager (after escalating past the front-line agent) who refunded my money and apologized to me. This will be the 3rd and last time I get screwed from them, the last time we had burnt pizza and it was so hard we couldn't even eat it. The 1st time we called in for a carry out and when we got home after the order wasn't even our pizza it was a plain cheese pizza and we ordered a chicken and ranch...

Don't waste your time with there honor program this place is a joke and there brain dead management and team are disrespectful and did not even attempt to satisfy the customers needs we were going to redeem our carry out card and because they were not all stamped on the same card they said it was not valid I have done thus multiple times and never had and issue not once I'm a regular valued customer I'm not just looking for a free pizza I always order more and spend atheist 50 or more but I'm sorry this is unacceptable they didn't try to resolve this in any way so I will no longer be giving this pizza company my business when they treat there customers that way and not to mention I once caught the employee spitting on the food once and laughed when...
