Kasa Downtown Asheville — Hotel in Asheville

The first 4 nights were great! So great we decided to stay 4 more nights. After we switched rooms to extend our stay is when everything fell apart. Make sure you don’t overlook the pet policy and jump to paying a high pet deposit like I did. I take responsibility for that. It’s the way they went about informing us of the “violation “ that was so upsetting. The door codes stopped working about 30 mins after checking in for our second booking. At this point we assumed some sort of glitch was behind it and it would be sorted out. It wasn’t until 11:30pm when I was falling asleep that I got a call from them informing me that I had violated a policy and I had to vacate the premises. My booking had been cancelled and I needed to leave. I asked what policy I violated and apparently they only allow 1 animal and I had 2. Never said anything the first 4 nights, said nothing to us after checking into the second room at 2:45pm. Didn’t give us a chance to figure out where we were going to go until almost midnight. Never heard not one word about it until then. It was a very upsetting and scary situation that I feel could have been handled in a more humane way. No one should be treated like a common criminal and thrown out in the middle of the night over a pet policy issue. Don’t claim your pet friendly when your not pet friendly…or human friendly for...

We booked our trip months in advanced before the storm hit and it was nonrefundable. We decided we would keep checking in and making sure it would be open for our stay and they stated we were good to go. We got our codes and everything for check in and drove 5.5 hours just for them to cancel the reservation at the time of check in due to emergency maintenance. They then stated that they had zero alternatives available and were told we should find somewhere else to stay. Absolutely horrible service and even worse company. I will never recommend this company to anyone. Now we have burned gas for zero reason and have lost out on our time spent in the car trying to enjoy our trip. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY, there are plenty of better companies to book with that treat you as a human being.

I stayed at Kasa in Asheville for 5 nights and enjoyed my stay. My room was spotless, I appreciated the amenities in the kitchenette so I didn't need to eat out for every meal, the bed was super comfortable, the shower had awesome water pressure, and I could easily control the temperature in my room with AC and heat. It was also quiet enough for me. The building is right up against a highway, but my room faced the other side of the building so I did not hear the noise at all. I didn't have my dog with me but other guests did, and aside from when a dog was in the hallway, I couldn't hear noise from other rooms. It's not quite walkable to downtown but there are a few food and coffee places within walking distance. Parking was easy. And the decor was modern and cute.
