Okay...I'll start this review like this...TO THE OWNER OF THIS ESTABLISHMENT...your comments to those complaining are simply EPIC!!! 🤣🤣 You definitely don’t deserve a 1-star in my humble opinion on any of the issues being tossed up here.
Your spot was SPECTACULAR! Amazing atmosphere; humorous and kind staff; and, of course FABULOUS Piano Players!! What an AMAZING business!! Your place gets PACKED and I wish you TONS of success for many, MANY more years to come!!!
If you are thinking of visiting this place...stop thinking and JUST DO IT!!! You will NOT be disappointed. I'd like to say this about the water...Ive owned a business and, THE OWNER IS RIGHT...they have to pay for it and we should as well. Many of those on here complaining about water have no issues walking into Starbucks and paying 6 bucks for coffee. So why, oh why, would you not pay 2 bucks for water...makes no sense. This establishment, like Starbucks, has overhead and salaries. I RESPECT THAT...we all should. PLUS what's 2 bucks when you are spending 25 on fish bowls...seriously?? 🤣 Learn to support local businesses like this one. 🇺🇸
I had such a great time and I will be back. I will also tell friends visiting Asheville, to visit this establishment because it was absolutely fantastic. The piano players are so passionate and knowledgeable on music that it makes it impressive to experience how many songs they knew. I made the comment that it was like karaoke without me having to sing by myself 🤣 And the other patrons, the ones that come to have a great time, are engaging as well, if you're lucky enough to sit next to great people (which it seemed this place was full of).
And listen, my song wasn't played, but here's the thing, SO WHAT!! They did play a song I loved by the same band, PLUS SO many other great crowd pleasing songs, which allowed EVERYONE, regardless of their singing abilities, to participate and have the best time.
Finally, and I'll end here I promise...these guys get SOOO many requests that i can see them not getting to a song. But on the songs they didnt know they did put the tip AND the request at the corner of the piano and admitted they didnt know the song. So, they truly gave you an opportunity to get your money back. But honestly, what a$$ would take it back? These guys were worth that and more simply for the entertainment they provided!!! I've spent tons of money on concert tickets and didn't have this much fun 🤣
Thank you owners for running a spectacular operation!! I will be back to support, when i come back to Asheville!! Also, huge thank you to the piano guys for shouting out, and playing a song, to those of us who served in the Armed Forces...that warmed my...
Read moreSo - my review sadly doesn’t reflect the establishment itself because honestly this place is AWESOME. I have never been to a piano bar before and the performers here set the bar high. They are fun, engaged with the crowd often and were extremely talented. So a five star for idea and execution.
Now the serving staff is a totally different story. First issue: the crowd as a whole is very involved with the music. Standing, singing and dancing. This is the atmosphere they allow. The female bartender working yesterday was moving through the crowds of people screaming “move.” I can’t imagine any other place that would ever allow a bartender to communicate that way to customers. Might have been understandable if people weren’t allowed to stand, but that’s the environment that they promote. So a simple “excuse me” would probably do the trick in the future.
In addition to this we came in with a bachelorette party, we seated ourselves at the next available table. We were not asked for drink orders for probably about a half hour. Once we got the attention of a female server and asked to order a drink she indicated to us that she couldn’t help because we weren’t in the empty two seat table maybe one foot away from our current table. I have never in my life had a server say “sorry I can’t help you, not my section” as a server previously you can definitely approach that differently: “sure, let me go get your server” OR “what can I get for ya and I’ll get your server”
Two of the girls decided to move to the other suggested table so that they could order a drink. Well then the server refused to let them move back to our table after getting their drink. Oh AND the gratuity rule here is a general rule for groups over six or whatever, they automatically put it at 20% tip. This server added it to their bill even though she served NO ONE ELSE IN OUR GROUP. Because we weren’t at her table. Trust me a 0.000002% tip would have been generous for her so it sucks that she really ripped them off on that regard.
I have honestly never seen anything like that and it made the dynamic of our group very odd because two people in our group had to sit at another table and drink......? It made genuinely no sense.
This place has so much potential to be truly incredible. The serving staff...

Read the owner responses on here to other negative reviewers... the clear distaste for people is obvious.
The worst part of my experience at this establishment was the intent of the staff to take advantage of people. At the bar, I ordered a round of drinks for my two friends and I, and asked to close my tab rather than leave it open. The bar tender made my drinks and returned my card. I asked if had to sign something and he said " I just left it open." I was slightly annoyed, because I specifically asked to close it. As I was walking away, I overheard someone else say that if anyone leaves without closing the tab it was an automatic 20% tip. An hour or so later, I went back to order another round of drinks, and again said that I wanted to close the tab. The same bartender made my drinks and gave them to me. I asked for my bill again, and he ignored me. I stood there, waiting for my bill, staring at him. He ignored me and went to the next customer. He made their drinks and finally, looked at me and said "Did you need something else". I said " I want to close my tab!" He finally gave me the bill. I am not sure what the intention was, but I definitely felt that there was some motive.
At our table there was another girl and her brother. We were not with them, but they were sitting right next to us. The server that came around was serving them. She was drinking a Cosmo and he was drinking draft beer. They each had a couple rounds, then the brother left. She was alone, but was getting an Uber back, she wanted to stay back and enjoy, sort of with our group of girls. I noticed that twice after her brother left, she ordered another cosmo from that server, and each time, he brought her a beer too- even thought the brother was not there. She clearly said " Can I have another cosmo" and he would bring two drinks.
I feel like this place is there just to take advantage of drunk people, or those they assume to be- and really do not care about their patrons at all.
The entertainment was not that great, the drinks were over priced and the staff were out to exploit the guests for...
