Dairy Queen — Restaurant in Atchison

Today my friend and I drove six hours to Atchison kansas to watch the solar eclipse. We stopped at this dairy queens to eat lunch. My first impression was that the establishment was very clean and neat, especially with all the business they had at the time. There were only two people in line ahead of my friend and I so we were in no hurry, but another cashier came up to the counter quickly and opened another register to help with the line. The cashier that took our order was very kind and sweet and rang up the order perfectly. We got our food very quickly and i was amazed we didn't have to wait long because like i had said before they were very busy. All of this was great service and deserving of a good review in itself but what really surprised me was when I heard their manager George, saying encouraging words to the entire team, he was saying things like "great job guys, lets keep up the great work!" not just once but i heard him say things like this several times during our visit at the restaurant. That is an AMAZING manager, I am very impressed with the entire service of our visit and if i ever go through Atchison kansas again I will not hesitate to stop and...

Sunday evening June 9, at 6:15. One family in front of us at the order register. The family was “ unique “. The two boys at the register were immature as the family left, snickering and rolling their eyes. They took our order. After 25 minuets I told the workers we hadn’t received our order( simple: 2 regular cheeseburger deals). At 31 minuets, one of the young men who took our order, brought our dinner. I told him it was a half hour wait for this. He dropped the try and walked off! The burgers were not hot, nor warm, they weren’t even lukewarm…. Room temperature. I took the burgers to the counter and told register boy, they were cold and he went to making excuses about the order matching not working properly. No, I’m sorry. No nothing except it wasn’t their fault. A young woman asked what the problem was. I told her and had the ticket to show we waited 31 minuets to receive cold burgers. She apologized and had fresh ones made. I ordered a hot fudge sundae, only to receive a chocolate syrup sundae from the 2 register boys. At this point I was disgusted with the service, food and the rudeness of the staff and we left never to return to...

I went through the drive thru around 4:30pm on September 9. My order was incorrect so I took the one sandwich inside to exchange it for the correct one. The kid got the manager who told me it was my fault because I didn't listen closely when they read back the order. I told her that McDonald's messes up the order almost every time but they don't argue and tell me that it's my fault they got the order wrong. She did end up exchanging it but what kind of customer service is that? Not to mention they put a cold piece of cheese on my burger. Not melted, at all. The burger wasn't even hot. I ended up not even eating it. Higher prices, worse service....
